@joekulik999 Жыл бұрын
Please tell me what rehabilitation you're talking about because over 28 years as a True Crime fan I haven't seen much effort at rehabilitation at all in America's prisons. They are basically just human warehouses. But besides rehabilitation how about doing to prevent crime before it even happens ??? SO much money is spent After a crime has been committed on police investigations, trials, and incarceration but nothing is seriously spent researching why people really commit crimes and how to stop it. This leads to irrational conclusions òne of which is that a person who commits a murder in an otherwise crime free life is simply irredeemable and should be put away for life.

This is true with the exception of Chicago. I was there 6 years ago for a hedging conference and there were a little over 100 shootings on a four day fourth of July weekend. I think around 15 of them ended up being fatal. Everyone was just ho hum about it as it was totally expected.

Dude, there are 77 neighborhoods in Chicago, it is a huge City and it depends on where you are. The west side and the entire South Side is an absolute sh*t show, so yes, shootings are constantlyyy happening over there and they are absolutely expected in those gang ridden areas! As for most of downtown, the north side and the northwest side, any shootings at all are incredibly rare and we are not worried at all about being shot or robbed. I am almost 32 years old, a woman, lived here almost my entire life and I have never had one bad thing happen to me in regards to safety or my state of well-being. So yeah, when you live on the northwest side of Chicago (incredibly far away from the south side) you couldn't care less about the BS that happens over there on the south side, because it happens all year round and it stays there. Of course none of us are going to freak out when we actually live in good areas, because there's nothing to freak out about- it's a great City and Incredibly safe when you live in the right area. Laws need to be changed. If someone has to pay money for the loss of a family member and decides to move to a state where no one can garnish those wages, that in itself, should be illegal too. People need to be held accountable for their crimes period. These people shouldn't be allowed to move to another state where garnishing wages is illegal. Since that ruling was given in Kentucky, where they obviously lived prior to moving to Pennsylvania, then that ruling should be upheld no matter what. And Pennsylvania should not intervene with Kentucky's ruling. Unless he appeals in Kentucky and wins then that's a different matter.

After watching Trent's story in 2004, I NOW know why the word "spoiled" is so offensive to me: A REAL spoiled person: SHANE RAGLAND!! He was SO entitled, had NUMEROUS DUIs, and got into SO much legal trouble, yet his father bailed him out every time. I've seen some entitled White people (I met them at the University of Southern California, and in Seattle in the Laurelhurst neighborhood), but Shane takes the CAKE. Believe me, MY Mom and Dad would never "oh, he does nothing wrong' about me, if I did many of these things that Shane Ragland did. Talk about having it come back to bite him: Shane was SO jaded, never being held accountable, and his recklessness, I have no doubt played a part in him getting into that accident, that confined him to a wheelchair. And believe me, after my father passed away unexpectedly in 2003, I DON'T wish death or terrible things like paralysis on many people Shane Ragland is a notable exception for me. As both a Combat Veteran of Modern Warfare and a Retired Employee of a US Defense Department Contractor. I have complete confidence in the US Military and its ability to crush all current adversary Military forces if we are forced to defend ourselves. The war on terror was no indication of our true Military capabilities. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were never fought with the intent to do anything other than support the Military Industrial Complex and its appetite for profit. Had there been any true intent to destroy Isis or the taliban it would have been accomplished in days with very minimal Combat casualties of US Forces. The weapons systems and equipment the US Military deployed in those wars were occupation oriented systems and equipment. We have significantly more capable conventional weapon systems in the inventory than those weapons systems that were deployed. The true conventional offensive capabilities of the US Military is unbelievable . But those weapons aren't going to be brought into a fight meant to be a prolonged Military action . The true offensive and defensive capabilities of the US Military is decades ahead of any other modern Military. There's a reason the Defense budget of the US is so high. And it's not because it's spent or wasted on $500 claw hammers or $1000 toilet seats. There's plenty of waste but it isn't nearly as much as it's claimed to be

I don't know why the point of the plea deal. Yes, he is a convicted felon but he is also a free man forever. They can never be charged now. Why not just wait and see if the ex girlfriend changed her mind. There is no statute of limitations on murder.

ragland was paralyzed in a car accident and in a wheelchair since 2012. he has been back in court over the years after the murder of trent, for beating his girlfriend with a metal rod, punching her in the face repeatedly and tried to kill her, also beating her children who were 8-14 at the time- the girlfriend stayed/went back to him, claiming they have a special relationship? smh

21:33 Wow. If I was in that position I would declined that deal. You got a key witness that is vanished in the witness protection program and ballistic expert that perjured himself.

These 20-something minute uploads omit a lot of the redundancy in other crime features - which is a good thing. I still think the producers overdo the background music and sound effects like the rest though.

So you have a weak case the second time. Why wouldn't you just give it a shot and see what a jury does? Worst case it's they find him innocent... Your letting him walk anyways you might as well try when you KNOW he's guilty

That .243 is a popular varmint gun. Good velocity and flat trajectory but doesn't have the punch of some other rifles. At closer range, say 75 or 100 yards punch doesn't matter as much as accuracy. That's just messed up to hold a grudge for something as stupid as a fraternity.

Please note the father’s emotionless recollection of being informed of his son’s death. Nothing. He could be describing temporarily losing his car keys. Then note the coach’s reaction…who actually responds like a human being.

Wow. Your comment is disgusting. People grieve in different ways. Not everyone wears their emotions on their sleeves. Some people compartmentalize their feelings, especially when speaking in public.
@cameronfrost3794 Жыл бұрын
@@SarahParker-bo9uz yeah like what the fuck is the original commenter on about. No one’s reaction to a loved ones loss can be deemed valid or invalid. People knew him in different ways and had different relationship and above all cope differently. At the end of the day you don’t know his dad personally so don’t go casting judgements like that @wade stevens

i searched for an update on google: “Ragland suffered a spinal cord injury in a 2012 car accident. Earlier this year(2014), Ragland's girlfriend claimed Ragland physically assaulted her and tried to run her over with his wheelchair. A judge later lifted an emergency protective order against him.” what a p.o.s!! clearly never learned his lesson🤦🏻♀️ he should still be in prison. i hope he is in some way shape or form

There is nothing about this case that is positive. What a horrible miscarriage of justice. I wonder what the POS us up tonow, and i wonder what his parents must think about their useless son. I give the victim's family so much credit, what a testament to the kind of person their son would have bocome.
