I've been playing a bit of homeworld mobile recently and a few things stuck out to me as being useful things for new players so I've made a list!

Thanks for the tips. So far all the tips is something I've learned myself as well and guess there's not much to learn at this stage. But in regards to ship swapping during a mission, I find it both time consuming and risky because (1) it takes ages for the changes to reflect and go back to the game (2) you risk of the infamous infinite load time. And a minor issue if it counts (3) you are vulnerable to attacks from the enemy ships and can't use your special abilities to assist in combat if the load times becomes infinite.

Yeah I've run afoul of the infinite load times a few times myself, though significantly less since the official release I have to say. I generally now don't need to swap out mid battle bc I know what I'll be up against in most missions (and can't really be bothered) but it's still good to be able to do. I expect as the game gets more difficult at higher tiers it might form part of some more optimal stats. Also docking-all at the opportune time so as to heal your strike craft can be a very good idea. I often solo PH1 and just after destroying the base is the perfect time to do so before the boss fleet arrives.

@@elixir_ninja I dont understand tho rn just starting out why they didn't bother put a freaking "loadout preset" buttons like at least 2 and when you click it start laucnhing etc ... the preset exemple : you make a preset with full gatherers and the second with only military ships to fight and by just pushing the button it start the deploying sequence.

Great video, Very informative and simple to understand. I have a question regarding group in the game. If i want to play with friends, I create and send group link to global chat and then they join via that link. After that, how do you rendezvous with your friends within the group? I also heard you can clear signal together with group, but i have no idea how to do it.

Thanks, I appreciate the comment. I am not sure about your questions as I haven't used the group system with other people yet. Thus far I've not seen a way to complete ordinary signals with other people. I may be wrong but they seem like solo instances, unlike asteroid clusters. However once you unlock strikes (effectively group signals like pirate hideout) you can form a lobby with other players who will then join the instance with you when you start it.

@@elixir_ninja I see.. so the ordinary signal is solo only and the Strike signal is a co-op. I haven't unlocked the Strike signal. Yesterday, my friends and I tried co-op mining in an asteroid cluster using a group. Is very difficult, because when I make a group, its link automatically sends to global chat and then other players join in. In the end, we decided to drop the group thing and jumped together into the same asteroid cluster and hopefully, we come to the same room. It works. But if one of us is disconnected, we get separated again. Even if they try to jump in again, they end up in a different room.

I just remembered, another tip. But not related to strats. If you have a weak phone, and want to play with others. Switch special abilities to use only balistics. Missiles models and sprites causes lots of lag. After the progress wipe and the new build, the performance has improved but still prevalent. So yeah. I play on ROG Phone 5 and using Bluestacks with RTX 2070 and it still lags occasionally

That's a really good point about graphics. It's also obviously a good idea to switch the graphics setting to low if your phone is struggling

Hey. My First corvettes seems to outplay my interceptors in every Stat, Just Speed is lower. Is Speed necessary?

Yeah, Homeworld Mobile has been a great game! I just started on Christmas morning and have pretty much in between eating, napping, gaming, I've only been playing homeworld but i have run into a snag. I've accumulated a bit of ore, ive refined most of it but how do i create more fabrication. When it seems as though my Capital ship needs more space. I have afrigate beside the Capital and then inside ive got a bomber squadron sn intercepting squadron of corvettes and i always try to keep a resource collector handy, but I'm having trouble fabricating anything, is it because I'm at a limit? How to enlarge my fleet, i guess is my question. Within my refinery where the build tab should be it just keeps proclaiming insufficient resources when my storage & stash ate pretty much full of raw and refined ore. Why do i get insufficient resources and no other resolution on what to do with it. I think I've missed something in between a full belly and the need to nap from it. Help!

My ships never dock with the carrier, they just fly little circles around the front of it and get "stuck" and refuse to follow any other commands. Also is there a way to stop ships from auto launching?

I'm still confused on how to switch out the ships. I made 10 resource collectors and 10 bombers... But i don't know how to bring them out. I got only 3 resource collectors out only. +Frigate or w.e.

I’m really familiar with Homeworld 1 but yet to commence Homeworld 2 when I get the chance but just a noobish question - what happened to the Taiidan faction specifically and the Kushan (who are hiigaran in 2) between Homeworld 2 and Homeworld mobile which is set only 15 years from HW2 (cutscene says HW mobile is set over a century since Homeworld 1 storyline)

So after the Kushan reclaimed Hiigara (and accordingly their original species name of Hiigara), the taiidan empire split up into a bunch of kingdoms. Some eventually allied with the hiigarans and the rest attempted several times (unsuccessfully) to reconquer Hiigara. Then when the Vaygr started their conquest the remaining Taiidan either joined with them or were conquered, which bolstered the Vaygr fleets, which is we're at in HW2.

Hey man I know this is random but you seem knowledgable. I'm in like chapter 5 on homeworld mobile where I need to fabricate strike craft... I'm on the fabricate interceptors but I prematurely accepted another interceptor blueprint making it TEIR 1 instead of 0 now I cant fabricate it and I need it for the campaign. What should i do?

You should have blueprints with unlimited uses, that can be used instead.

After you kill the enemy ships, look to the right side of the screen. Tap the blue circle. Should give you one option. Nake sure you take one resource collector. That's what will interact with the artifact

i'm stuck at chapter 5 where i need to fabricate interceptor squadron. it seems impossible because i need A and B refined ore to build it but to refine A,B ore you will need to unlock the refine module first which is locked.

You should have unlocked fabrication in chapter 1. I suggest closing and restarting the game and checking again. Otherwise get in contact with the mods. The easiest way to do that is via the discord. I'll show off the discord and some other resources in my next video.

Chapter 5 wants you to fabricate a common T0 interceptor from T0 M ore. You'll unlock T1 soon enough, don't rush, read your quests

I was also stuck there because the tutorial WRONGLY points at the Uncommon Interceptor if you have the BP for it. Ignore that and build the Common (cheap) Interceptor.

@@krisssmith477 chapter 5 interceptor squadron isn't just T0 M ore, you also need A and B t1 refined ore. which is a 0.50 drop rate from mission crates. guess ill just grind missions till i get those.

Try sending flagship and interceptor squadron to left one, then sending other squadrons on other side, focus on flagship side as it has more enemies than other, then send flagship with interceptor to rest and finish them

Yes, via officers and via internal modules which unlock in chapter 22, though it's not a huge increase.

Where will be shipyard in the game to construct a frigate

Check outpost listings on the system map, it should say 'shipyard' for some of them. Lazarus is a good system to remember as it has a shipyard and is in a tier 0 area so is always accessable.

@@elixir_ninja I started using missles better for that and am doing much better. Also noticed the laser special us more than damage, it ships attacks the ability says so its good defensively.

2 missiles turret. 1 small 1 Med plus Ion Cannon. Good for tearing anyone. Ion remove the armor Missiles tear hull so fast. Soban Faction has +5% weapon cooldown. They attack fast.
