Just putting this out there to help others after reading some comments here. I am a sister who desired women as a teenager and honestly Allah healed me. I gave up on everything in life except for Allah and I didnt expect any relief and one day the most amazing feeling came over me and I felt that my body and brain had changed (I was transgender too) I felt full of light. After that I never felt desire towards women again alhamdulillah and it's been nearly 10 years now. Although I did suffer before it, when you completely give yourself to Allah and become so close to Him that He is more real to you than anything else, I feel that it was knowing Allah and His Oneness that healed me. There is light at the end of the tunnel for you insha'Allah. And for every struggle you go through even if it never ends, you are increasing in reward.

Even though many people might argue that it doesnt cause any harm, it actually does cause harm to a society (if you do your research) and the feeling is driven by desires, which are caused by hormonal and psychological changes in the womb, which are then triggered by environmental factors, not genes. So it's infact not even entirely natural and can be reversed if a homosexual person protects themselves for desires that could corrupt their hearts. Why do you think in biology it's always xy or xx and this has nothing to do with how a person feels? When you allow people to change who they objectively are based on feelings then you open the doors to all sorts of weirdness (eg there are currently people identifying as amputees and cutting their limbs off) and now they are even forcing these things on everyone. This is one specific rule of one specific religion and he isn't forcing it on anyone. Imho, we can live wothout sex. If its love we are talking about, that has many forms and most pure forms of love are without the presence of sexual relations. I truly admire his behaviour, maturity and respect. Although the idea that sexuality and stealing are equivalent comparisons is very ignorant and problematic. There is much scholarship and history to be debated (I will not debate it as I am not qualified to do so) but if scholarship developed to specifically condemn homosexuality then scholars must think outside and away from that to fully legitimise any view on the issue. There is no one way to understanding Islam and its greatness and so we must be open to challenging every aspect of our arguments. Why would Allah swt. test any creation in such a way that no other creation has every been known to be tested before (and I am not aiming to dismiss that we can never truly understand Allah swt and the divines actions), but sexuality is uncontrollable, and how does two people loving one another insult the almighty ? This obviously exists outside of the procreation argument. I urge us to afford queer people a safe and respectable space in our communities and spaces and I pray we can be amongst those who critically and seriously engage with ideas and beliefs, may Allah swt always guide us and may we never stand against our creator.

I am not sure if comparing the impulse for stealing to the impulse for sexual attraction to opposite sex works. Sex is a very basic need of humans whereas act of stealing is not. Likewise hunger is one of the essential needs of humans like sex. I think comparing hunger to impulse for sex works better. And we are to compare these two, we can see that it is impossible to suppress the impulse for sex like it is impossible to suppress impulse for hunger. I am a muslim. I just look for a satisfactory answer for the wrongness of being gay from a islamic point of view.

This is utter crap in that you claim a person who is effeminate should not lead prayer is equivalent to saying feminism is should not be permitted in prayer or that women should not pray because it devalues prayer. If Allah decided to respect women and their prayers, why should a man be permitted to devalue women or men who choose women as a better example of behaving? God obviously created gay men and women just as easily as He created heterosexual men and women and it is not a straight man's or astraight woman's purpose to judge them at any level. The task of judgement has always been That of the individual best qualified to judge which is Allah. Muslims must choose to be angry at Allahs creations or accept His creations. Please tell me which of Allahs creations are to be condemned by the arrogance of man?

It's not ok, nobody can see what you're doin at home. But the religion of Islam does not encourage to prosecute people based on assumptions like the West suggest. So sinful acts are never "ok". But we can only take action in an Islamic system, once the acts becomes known to the public.

You can be Muslim and GAY. The catch is that Islam does not allow homosexual interactions or marriage (homosexual sex). People do not choose to become gay. Think about this for a moment, what kind of sane person wishes they were gay? If people can be born with autism, or have the potential to develop schizophrenia or alzheimer's (both mental disorders have genetic and environmental factors). Do you seriously still think it is impossible for a person to be born gay? Homosexuality is the result of biological, genetic, and ENVIRONMENTAL factors. To condone and insult gay people for existing is absurd. As Muslims, we should not be sending them death threats. We should instead pray for them and help them. Here is proves for you Mukhannathun -A hadith is Sunan Abu Dawud 41, 4910 A mukhannath who had dyed his hands and feet with henna was brought to the Prophet. He asked: What is the matter with this man? He was told: Apostle of Allah! he affects women's get-up. So he ordered regarding him and he was banished to an-Naqi'. The people said: Apostle of Allah! should we not kill him? He said: I have been prohibited from killing people who pray. AbuUsamah said: Naqi' is a region near Medina and not al-Baqi.[2] This hadith proves that Islam does allow gender none conforming individuals to express themselves without punishment as long as it is natural to the individual. -Sunan Abu Dawud 32, 4095, in which Aisha says: A mukhannath used to enter upon the wives of Prophet. They (the people) counted him among those who were free of physical needs. One day the Prophet entered upon us when he was with one of his wives, and was describing the qualities of a woman, saying: When she comes forward, she comes forward with four (folds of her stomach), and when she goes backward, she goes backward with eight (folds of her stomach). The Prophet said: Do I not see that this one knows what her lies. Then they (the wives) observed veil from him.[3] -The phrase "free of physical needs" could describe an asexual person, homosexual person, and other sexual orientations. I personally think this saying is alluding specifically to homosexual men. Men, generally, in Islam are not allowed to enter women quarters but a mukhannath can. This implies a mukhannath is a man who is not sexually attracted to a woman.

No one can say who is going to hell and who isn't those that are going to go to hell, Allah himself is the only one to decide, say if there was a gay muslim or a gay person, just because he is gay we cant say that he is going to go to hell just because being gay is a sin. If you think that allah might throw people in hell fire for being gay because its a sin, then answer me this. Why did Allah grant a prostitute paradise just because she had quenched thirst of a dog and not throw that prostitute in hell fire since prostitution is a sin?

It would be interesting to see how muslims would react to being told that they're free to practice their religion in the privacy of their home, but it could cause harm when it emerges into the public space. Bigotry is impossible to hide, no matter how reasonable people might try and make it sound.

First of all. Not everyone is supposed to agree and accept Western culture as the end all be all and no one is to be condemned because they don't adhere to "THEIR" rules. whether people want to admit to this or not, being gay is not a natural thing. People committ suicide, become depressed, lose their families and they cut off their families bloodline. So yes... its a sin.
