Notice the design difference in the old and new Honda VVT solenoid. The original with the rubber rings caused cross leaks after a few years in service as the rubber shrunk and got hard. The new design was a big improvement because the larger aluminum valve lands sealed much better for longer. I just fixed one of these Hondas by using the new design. The original symptom was Code P1009 and very rough idle because the intake cam was staying advanced at idle. Also once had P0341 because of the discrepancy between actual and expected camshaft position.

Changed my VTC actuator. The new one failed in 6 months. Wised up and bought a Honda OEM one this time. Car runs like crap. Thought maybe I timed it wrong and removed the timing cover and put everything back together perfectly. Triple checked it. Still runs like crap. Takes forever to start and is down on power. I wonder if it's that sensor. I put a new one in and if I remember right I dropped it at one point. Timing chain and everything else is new. Unless the actuator is bad from the factory the sensor is the only other variable

I am facing the same malfunction with the same code. I changed the erbracam sensor, then changed the chain, then changed the entire erbracam, then changed the erbracam wheel and checked the electricity completely. However, the same problem remained. My brother advised me

I changed the bank 1 sensor and I also changed the vvt sensor but the code is still on even after I reset. What could be the problem

possible vvt control solenoid on the back passenger side of the head or could have jumped a tooth, those timing chains are known to stretch

What you brought out is significantly different from what you put back in, yet you say "everything is the same". Care to explain?

Yah mine stopped working to it’s throwing the vsa light and the same cam shaft code i done replaced both cam sensor and the vtc solinoid so right now I’m at a stand still car running like shit

I am having the same issue with my 08 accord 2.4. I replaced the crankshaft sensor about 3 months ago with no issues until now. I have p0341 bank A, I replaced that, cleared codes and all 3 lights came right back on. Is what you did able to clear the problem? Engine starts, idles and drives perfectly fine even with the lights on. Thanks

Unfortunately, it is the timing chain issue. You may have to adjust the timing chain since it jumped. That's what u end up doing.

Had the same error code. Changed both camshaft sensors and the timing chain. New error code popped up as P0365.

I have the same problem. Car runs pretty bad, vtec starts 1000rpm later and the fuel consumption has rocketed. Changed timing chain 2021. Changed cam and crankshaft sensors. I have a vvt solenoid here, I hope this will fix it otherwise I'm going nuts.

You're driving yourself crazy by fixing things on your car that dont need fixing. Use your brain. Diagnose the problem from the start
