Owned this bike back in the day. Actually had it stolen right in front of my apartment. Silly me, left the keys in it. Brings back many good memories.

Sad to hear that, but a least you have the memories. I sold mine a few months ago. Still missing her, but I got myself an old Moto Guzzi and only sometimes regret this decision ;)

I've a cb750k sounds even better and was my childhood dream bike since i saw 2 in Lusaka Zambia around 1972. Id never seen anything but a monkey bike or moped so it looked unbelievably huge as i was 12yr old.

Had one in 1983.. Painted it black put high bars on it... Never broke down.. Pump some oil our On a good run. Old engine. Crank case compression.

Love that sound I have a 77 CB550F and I must say I'm really curious as to what jetting and needle setting you got going on here ? Idle and throttle response is on point. Thank you for the insight

I sold the bike for an old Moto Guzzi and i am not sure if i still have the data about tge jetting and needle setting. Did not donit myself and had the CB on a test bench. But maybe i will find something. :)

@@Kinghariii thank you for your answer nonetheless. There is obviously more trial and error with pods but it's just as feasible, I'm really happy with my current jetting but I believe I'm a notch away on the needle and wanted to verify : ) Cheers

Late response here but I hope it serves you well. I have a 1977 550F supersport with an aftermarket 4into1 exhaust ( carpy exhaust) and pod filters. 40s slow jet, 115 mains and needle all the way to the top. This setting offers good performance all the way, no bucking at all. Air screw is also set 3/4 out.

Sir-I have a '77550 K with a mild cam and a Delkevik stainless 4/1. Had the whole bike done front to back..find a vintage shop(good luck)and have the carburetors dialed via computer adjustability. The shop I had build my bike had all that stuff and everything is perfect pitch- You may want to upgrade to an electronic ignition. Pricey-however totally worth the dough. First kick EVERY TIME😊

Das Rattern der Steuerkette, dass durch schlechte Vergaser- und Zündungseinstellung erzeugt wird, macht mich krank. Immer das Gleiche.

Der Vergaser wurde damals durch einen Fachbetrieb am Prüfstand korrekt auf die Trichter abgestimmt. Vielleicht möchte Sie diesem ja gern deren Arbeit erklären: www.bogy.at/de
