Before I started to watch your video i made a cup of coffee. It wasn't until your video was finished that I remembered my coffee. Your video was that interesting. It can't be easy setting up your camera here and there but you do it very well. My brother was a dispatch rider in London in the 80's and he had a CX500. The engine had a distinctive sound. Hi there, i rebuilt a cx many years ago. Sorry to say but that water seal will fail again really soon, it should be tight, I took the rear case off and had to heat the case to get the new seal in. CX500s normally need the water pump seal and the stator replacing the other failure is the CDI ignition but you have an after market unit it looks like.

Hi. Have a cx that wouldnt turn over. Found the battery lonely gave 6 volts and with a car battery didnt improve. Clean the starter and it turn but only two tirn over with car battery. Thought it was a weak starter and was going buy a new only. Luckily by chance the leads over heated from battery and I used copper 240v wire and the starter turn the motor at speed. Thanks for showing a simple way make gasket and repairs to the radiator.

Looked like it was on the side stand when you checked the oil???

Yes, it was on the side stand, and this was actually the second time I pulled the dipstick The first time lots of oil came out. I just didn't get it on camera. Oil shouldn't come out of the fill hole even on the side stand. Although I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time lol. Thanks for watching.

How did you install the new waterpump seal without removing the engine cover and using the right press-in tool?

I didn't remove the starter on this bike so I can't give any advise.

This is probably the "Worst" CX500 I have ever seen. Period. Some Ass-Hole beat the Crap out of it. And expects it to "Still Run" And to add insult to injury, painted it Phlemn Green.
