Great video! Stripping the wiring loom wrap is good advice. Not just for tracing where the wires go, but also to find damaged or melted wires to repair or replace. I had to do this for my GL500 build wiring harness. Clymer has a really good wiring diagram in color for the CX and GLs. Helped me out a ton. Especially trying to figure out where the heck the neutral switch wiring started and ended. Once I figured that out, I got the bike to turn over.

Absolutely. This is a method to be able to follow that path in more detail and understand the pathway of the current. A lot of times with aftermarket parts they aren’t plug and play then the blocks need cutting apart.

Hi mate. Really rate your videos. Insperational and very well made. I see you put a brand new clutch cable on the CX. With lowering the bars, how did you go about getting shorter throttle, choke etc, cables. We're they new and where from.

To be honest I use the same length cables, just route them another way where they don't hang.

The CX500 will be done before the end of May, the GS550 possibly sooner. Just need to wrap the exhaust and fit a new engine cover that's it.

Great vid. I know how a full bridged rectifier regulator works. I used to be an electronics technician. You know what would make your wiring easier? Using your wiring diagram to draw up block diagrams of each individual circuit. That way you don't have to strain your eyes and pull your hair out staring at a wiring diagram. And if you keep them in a binder, when something stops working you can go to the binder and you'll have a quick reference to look at for that specific circuit. It makes life so much easier.

For The Bold - dreegez I just replaced my power flex in my galaxy note 5. That was a pain in the ass. KZbin replace note 5 power flex and you'll see what I mean. Yeah block diagrams are a lifesaver and time saver. I'm getting ready to watch your new vid.

Beware the Haynes wiring diagram. On the CXA GB model, Haynes show the cables to solenoid wrong way round.!
