Ooorrra. I got a great black Friday sale deal on a set of non-adjustable MaxSpeeding BFO red coilovers. I found out why they were so cheap when I put them on. The steering arm was welded up wrong. The reciever for the tie rod ends were welded on the bottom side of the steering arm instead of the top. I contacted the company and they shipped out a new corrected set overnight to US from China. I had them in my hands in 4 days from China. They also sent along a set of adjustable shocks that fit the coilovers I currently have. That made up for the problems I had. I live on the tip of the DragonTail in NC so I need the handling of a coilovers for all the turns I go through. I drove on the non-adjustables for two years before I swapped out to the adjustable ones. In my opinion they are worth the money I have into them. I was new to the Element setup and I didn't know what I was going to need so these were a way to find out. There is a big difference between the struts that were on my Element when I got it and the coilovers. That is why you see all the parts laid out like they are, I replaced everything front and back. The car came from Arizona so all the rubber was dry rotted. I did drive on the factory struts after the repairs for a couple of months. With all of that in mind I will say the non-adjustables are great for these mountain roads tearable for dirt roads like my driveway. They also saved me from a idiot driver that I had to dodge down in Florida too. I recently got a new set of Toyo tires and I finally put the adjustable shocks in the coilovers. I haven't been driving on them for very long to give a fair opinion. I will do a video on them when I get some miles on them.

Thanks Devil Dog for sharing your experience and opinions. I really am enjoying the 08 SC Ive now had for about a month. I decided to keep stock for now. stock replacement struts. Question I now have is this. Can you recommend a close to OEM Brand I can buy for the SC? If I buy the TRQ loaded struts front and rear. Will they make the SC stand taller like an EX? I want the new parts / NEW SHOCKS but like the stock lowered height, easier to get into etc. If I go that route, I would like to swap out the original SC coil-springs into the new struts. Will the new shocks become damaged? Have you noticed if there was any difference in the shock length? I think it will work but wanted to get someone to confirm first. Any insight will help. Thanks Warrior! OOORAAAAHHH

On the rear struts you can use the ex struts, the key part to the rear struts for an SC is the springs. Keep the old springs and put them on the new struts to keep the original height. Any brand will do and TRQ is a good one. You can put the EX model struts on yours but it will raise it up about 30 mm and the bolt pattern is a little different on the front. They can be easily fit in there though with a round file in a little bit of work. On the front struts there are no aftermarket struts that are available because of the spring configuration. On the SC models one side spring goes One direction and the other side goes the opposite direction. On the other model of elements the springs go the same direction on both sides. You might be able to find some struts that are old new stock Honda on eBay. They're not going to be cheap if you do find some.
