I have a tiny leak on my Ridgeline and certainly not coming from the filter housing, so thinking this might be the leaking point, I'll take a look when I'm back to my country. Thanks for sharing this!

@ thanks what the stuff you put on bolt before tightening it? Rcm or something? Could you explain a little more?
@jaschalindesmith952520 күн бұрын
@robburris4229 I use ultra Grey rtv. You need to clean the hole really well with brake cleaner and dry it. Then a little rtv on both sides of the washer and retighten. I've done this to countless hondas.

@@jaschalindesmith9525 just looked up. To use for seals and gaskets. I had gotten Permatex “anaerobic gasket maker” before on accident. Is this same/similar and would work also? Thanks for getting back to me! Hope it helps the algorithms.

What the stuff you put on the bolt before fighting it? Cam or something. Please tell me more info about it. Thanks.

What is the bolt for? Is there similar to the opposite side of the engine? Also might be oil pump gasket, which is another common problem with the J series engine.

I'm pretty sure that bolt is for the crank girdle. They are all along the block. That one I believe goes into an oil galley, which is why I always see them leak from that one particular bolt.

Can you tell the bolt size or name of it? I'm trying to find it with no results. BOLT, FLANGE 6X35 Genuine Honda (90051P8AA00) is it correct bolt?
@jaschalindesmith95258 күн бұрын
@gagarinchief it's right behind the passenger axle. If the video isn't helpful then I would let a mechanic take a look if you suspect it's leaking.

@@jaschalindesmith9525 can you tell me exactly what part this bolt goes into?

@gagarinchief the engine block behind the passenger axle

Do you have to remember the cv axle to remove the bolt?
@jaschalindesmith9525Ай бұрын
I have done it without pulling axle. Have to use plenty of brake cleaner and get it absolutely oil free. Rtv both sides of washer and tighten as tight as possible by hand and done. Should take care of the leak if it was cleaned properly.

Sorry I meant to say do you have to remember the CV axle to get to the bolt?

I've done it without pulling the axle. Have to get it absolutely oil free. You'll need compressed air to blow it out and rtv both sides of the washer. Tighten as tight as humanly possible by hand and done.

@@jaschalindesmith9525 When you say "Tighten as tight as humanly possible by hand and done" are you saying only hand tight, or are you saying tighten as hard as you can with wrench/breaker bar? I ask because I am unsure if you are trying to leave a space for the rtv,,,,
@jaschalindesmith952513 күн бұрын
When you go to take it loose you will see how tight it is making it a bit difficult. Just make sure it's as tight when you're done. To clarify as tight as you can without power tools or a huge breaker bar.

Of course. I always keep a tube of it in my cart. Best rtv imo
