@@bird3713I played the game the whole way through and loved it. And I’ll back them up on that statement. The writing, characters, and environments WERE all good. Game’s just got a lot of other problems that kept people from getting far enough to see that. But honestly, the trailer pointing it out is a great indicator that the trailer’s writers actually did play it instead of just go off what they’ve heard.

yes and no. they both didnt have the best start. ashoka was introduced horrendously and was super annoying for a bit (she was barely 14 so cant really blame her) but she got better with experience till she became what she is today. one of the biggest fan favorits Iden thou is weirder. her game was good and the character thou kinda rushed (ending) was solid. her issues a few things. her being EA related, the fact that she defected almost immediately and that her outside showings in comics etc are both rare and haven't been the best. people like her its just not as big of a base as ashoka. shes wildly underused, hell that hole sect is wildly underdeveloped in general in all honesty so it ant her fault just bad luck.

Star wars fans only got mad about female characters when Disney started prioritizing them over the story, changing the lore in stupid ways, and started calling all the fans who didn't love the new star wars bigots and racist. Example 2: Ashoka Tano was put into a well written narrative as a headstrong yet compassionate hot head that was flawed but lovable. Result? She became one of the most beloved Characters (not just female characters.) in the entire Franchise, To the point that many have said that her and Vader in rebels is amongst the best moments in all of Star Wars.

When I first saw the initial trailer, I was STOKED. Then I found out they deliberately made the player character more masculine and less attractive than the real-life actress. I never had an issue with playing as a woman. I DID have an issue with playing as gender-swapped, dollar-store version of Han Solo.
