That is a load of bullshit because the so called nutritional benefits a lie they contain like trace minerals which are insignificant. Its fructrose so it won't spike your sugar.
@Absolomthecarnivore9 күн бұрын
Honey is much more dangerous than sugar but for that, a bit of chemistry to understand why. Honey is 90% fructose and sugar is 50% fructose 50% glucose. Fructose does not spike "blood sugar" as much as glucose but is only processed in liver which it can overwhelm easily and that make it the perfect silent killer. Glucose can be processed also in muscles, which makes it preferable before fructose. Learn chemistry and don't look just to one marker which is glucose, look at insulin too.

Sugar is 50% fructose, so that's not a factor to explain the lower spike in honey. A much more reasonable explanation: Blood sugar spikes are not that simple, it is always a little different on different days. I.e. movement and exercise has a big impact on it.

The only way to know it’s true effect is to test fasting INSULIN levels. Our bodies are masters at compensating (for awhile sometimes decades) however long term health your fasting insulin levels should be between 2-6. The AMA won’t flag the level as unhealthy until over 25. Then you will instantly have diabetes. But you are doing damage to yourself in little pieces the whole time.

Pretty sure it has to do with moisture to sugars in each. Table sugar has almost no moisture, while honey is about 17% moisture. Since honey has a considerably higher ratio of moisture, caloric density should be lower. So 39 grams of honey will have less actual fructose and/or glucose relative to table sugar.

It’s all about the structure of the sugar. I am diabetes type 1 and can assure everyone that the body does not differentiate between energy. But refined sugar for example is so broken down, that the body absorbs it faster into the bloodstream. „Better“ energy in form of carbohydrates just let the insulin make a more efficient work. Hope this makes sense, I’m not native ^^

Check your fasting INSULIN levels to understand your health. Our bodies compensate by producing more and more and more insulin until “suddenly” diabetes. Look up hyper insulinemia. Until you understand that you’ll never really understand sugars, glycemic imbalances or have hope to lose weight if that’s a goal. For example you could be eating lots of fruit ( fructose) still have a healthy A1C (glucose) and not realize you are doing damage until you end up with non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Best wishes in your journey.

From their bellies emerges a fluid of diverse colors, containing healing for the people (honey). Certainly, there is a sign (and a sign of Allah's might) for a society to think about”.
