God damn it this video was right by house! Glad you finally came to Wilmington! Went to broad avenue, wms and banning! Tbh I feel like you could’ve found more people to interview in this community. Know a few people that probably would’ve gave you really good stories about back in the day who were affiliated but turned their lives around. Which was most likely why you don’t see a bunch of gang members standing around in the hood usually

Wow, small world. I was born at Kaiser in nearby Harbor City. I grew up in Wilmas 80-89 and lived on Ronan Ave, closer to Wilmington Jr. High. I went to Gulf Ave and attended tough ass Wilmington Jr High. Those Physical Education Instructors were no joke (Matsutani) but it later prepared me both mentally and physically for Marine Corp Boot Camp. My family would eat at Los 3 Cochinitos all the while my dad's Impala tires would get rotated at nearby Eddie's Tire Shop. Moreover, we would also visit the Gardena Swap Meet and the Alpine Village swap meet. Thanks for the quick History on Wilmas.

When they ran out of Gas in South Central I filled up my Gas Tank and road to the Hood and distributed the gas amongst the homies so they could drive out to the Harbor Area and Fille up so they could go about they every Day business they just had to go fill up and shop in the Harbor Area or East L.A/Montebello Area.
