Thank you for the quiet moments of reflection. My young adult special need students brought their snowglobe to our remote learning last week and it was really special. I wished I had this information about the history of snowglobes to share! These moments with your videos bring the true meaning of Christmas to me. Jesus is born! Blessings on your Christmas celebration. I'm so fortunate to have found your channel!

I made pomanders last year. They were so pretty. I also dried oranges and apples and made popcorn and cranberry garlands with the oranges and apples and hung them outside on a tree for the birds. I made bird seed ornaments and hung them on the outside tree. It looked so pretty and all the birds loved it! There's just a real joy in preparing for Christmas the way folks used to do it. This year I'm making candy and cookies that my mother and I made together when I was a girl. I haven't made them in quite a few years. It will be fun to enjoy them and introduce them to a new generation of great nieces and nephews. It's a way for them to remember Mama Millie. My oldest nephew named their youngest daughter, Millie. I just love that! My mother had already gone to be with the Lord by the time she came along but it sure gave us all joy to have another Millie around. We always watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and "White Christmas". I love "The Waltons" and "Little House", too, but the movie that just makes my heart happy and sets me into the Christmas spirit is "Little Women". Oh, I love it!!! Thank you for keeping the old ways alive!❤ Merry Christmas to you and yours and blessings for a wonderful New Year! Marian

I love a tree decorated in oranges and gingerbread and popcorn, but didn't get around to it this year. I makes a wonderful winter treat for the birds and January is the perfect time to do that. It's a beautiful thing that your are keeping those family traditions alive and the memories of your mother.

My family always thought I was silly because I loved the Scrooge film with Albert Finney, I have a wonderful memory from my early teens of going on a Christmas field trip with my music class and watching it in a theater. It was a treat, our class sang some of the songs from the movie on the bus ride home. Those poor dedicated teachers and bus driver!

I love this! It’s sad that people don’t realize the gift of a good book. With all this technology it feels sadly forgotten the imagination of a good read, the tactile feel of book in hand curled up in a chair. The comfort of a warm throw while the winter snow gently taping the window.

Well said, nothing can replace a real book; the sound of turning pages, feel of the paper, and the weight of a book in your hands....However slight.
