@@gufredd9675 They were outdoors in circulating fresh air, first of all, not in an enclosed indoor space. Covid lives mostly in the nasopharynx, not the oropharynx. They were just quietly speaking, from a distance. And we can’t see if he’s wearing PPE or not. I’m a wildlife rehabilitator. My job doesn’t stop if I’m sick, either. I’ve taken care of patients while I’ve had H5N1. I’ve taken care of them while I had pertussis. It was rough. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if all the medical people and dog/cat rescuers had stayed home in 2020? You can’t just ignore animals in trouble, if you’re dedicated like Eldad and his colleagues. We’ve seen him work even while he had serious back pain, or a rescue when he should’ve been studying... LOL! My accommodation for Covid for the last 3 years is to meet citizens with wildlife on my porch, rather than allowing them indoors. You can’t tell folks to wear masks, or even to wear masks properly, many don’t even own a mask any more. You can’t tell people to get their vaccines, or dispel their misinformation or misgivings about the vaccines, either. But they care enough to contact rescuers. The animal is suffering, you can’t say no. For me, we meet on my porch, which is the same kind of distance as Eldad was. I wear my mask or ask them to step back away from me…. and I’m also about to get my fifth Covid vaccine. You’d do better to urge folks to get their vaccines, than tell them to stay home. That’s something more realistic we can all do that evens the odds, reduces mortality and hospitalizations. Gufredd, lots of people have jobs where they can’t “just stay home” if they’re ill. That’s just not how America is. They don’t have that luxury. Try to be less critical. Everyone except the very privileged has been through the wringer because of Covid, as well as other highly contagious viruses. :)

Thanks to Eldad for taking Pierre off of the streets. If that lady had not called Hope for Paws, Pierre might have died from the poison. That is horrible that people are still putting poison outside.
