Not one, not two, but three animals helped off the street. That’s always good to see. Can’t imagine the relief Mickey felt when that string was finally cut off his neck. @@charlesanastasia7574 - Thank you so much for helping those poor animals. The reason many homeless people get an animal (honestly, the word 'steal' is more appropriate than 'get') is because they receive far more money when they panhandle if they have an animal with them. It's sadly ironic because clueless people give them extra money to help the animal, but all that does is perpetuate a cycle of abuse. They steal the kitten, receive more money because of the kitten, then as the kitten inevitably gets sick, they dump it and steal another. :(

Booped his nose so he caught my scent and he immediately melted into the giant sook that I know, and crawled into my arms (the look on the vet's face was utter shock, scrags had been CRANKY) Kudos to that vet, and the one that helped mickey and Co x

@@CharGC123 My thoughts too. I've been rescuing cats for 40 years. I have one ex-feral as part of my family. Feral cats often don't meow as that's a sound they use to their mothers and lose as they get older whereas domestic born cats keep the meow for us humans. Our ex-feral, Oscar is only now 2 years after we caught him starting to give little squeaks at feeding time. He will eventually learn to meow for our attention. It's a shame that Mortimer is FIV positive but in the right home with the right care can expect to live a normal life expectancy. I've heard of FIV cats live into their 20s. All three are beautiful animals and I hope the two dogs are homed together and maybe whoever adopts them will want their cat friend too. That would be the most wonderful thing that could happen.
@franceslarsen40374 ай бұрын
@@CharGC123 Oh wow, that could be since they seemed kind of bonded, I am so relieved they are not going to suffer like that anymore! I started feeding feral colonies in 99, and as much trapping/spay neutering as I was able to, so I remember hearing alot of those type fearful "wails" that they do - and I found out, like you say - alot of them end up becoming quite tame, there was such a wide spectrum of what "feral" could mean, even some of the ones who never had a home showed quite a capability of becoming affectionate! (But if they truly had a feral background, they could revert when an unexpected person or situation arose:((
