I think everyone just assumes Pereira would want to fight Jones. From what Pereira’s camp has shown us he’s a lot more likely to move down to middle weight than move up and fight Jones. DDP called out Pereira a while ago and Pereira responded. He said he wants to go down to middle weight and hit him with his left hook. Now that’s really telling speaking DDP wanted to fight at LHW. Maybe Alex doesn’t like fighting heavy? I mean he barely cuts to make 205, I can’t imagine he’d be too ambitious to try and put on at least 40lbs.

So let me get this straight: Jones is ducking Tom and a coward for calling out Alex… because Alex, the face of the UFC, double champ, and current LHW champ “isn’t good at wrestling”… and that makes him an easy matchup for Jon Jones… But everyone is fine with Tom defending his belt against Alex if the Brazilian decides to move up… I don’t mind a Jon vs Tom fight but if Jon calls out Alex and Alex wants to move up, I’m interested in that as well. I think Jon beats Tom and I think all of this quacking is part of a scheme that ends with the two sharing the octagon.

Aspinal is 30 and is believed to have skill on par with Jon Jones. Jones is closer to 40 than 30, like Alex, and isn’t a true heavyweight.
