Wow new cartridge. How bout making ammo for cartridges Hornady all ready pushed as the latest greatest years back like 480 Ruger 450 Marlin . Manufacturers say they have supply and labor issues but they sure seem to be able to find resources to come up with new crap all the time . That in 5 years can’t find ammunition for .

really would have liked to see more 5.45x39 and even 7.62x39 offerings, the Russian ammo ban hit both those cartridges hard and hornady is currently the only us made and brass cased 5.45 you can get but its perpetually out of stock

There is room for a really good and consistent.22LR match ammo. I have been let down by so called top dollar performers. It is heart breaking to have a bench rest competition ruined by a bad round, watching the bullet drop into a target below the one your aiming for.

I think we can all agree Hornady has accurate bullet design down pat and that they know how to make a bullet violently break apart on impact. It is hunting bullets that stay together and do not shatter, shed their jaket on Elk and such that would be nice. Even if you test the 6.5CM and 6.5PRC on ballistic gell with factory ammo you get negliable increase in penatration and wound cavity with 6.5PRC over 6.5CM and it is because they are both loaded with the same bullets that shed their jacket or fragment on impact. BC and ballistic effecieny are not the end all be all for bullet and cartridge. Given the shortage of componets for reloading it would be nice if Hornady would give us factory ammo up to the task of hunting non-varmints in cartridges they take so much pride in like the 6.5CM and 6.5PRC. This is on flesh and ballistic gell hit a bone and it is even worse!

Well the 375 ruger is more of a niche market. Not exactly flying off the shelf in comparison to other more popular cartridges. Low demand low supply. But my local shop has Hornady 375 ruger on the shelf and a quick google search shows multiple retailers have it in stock too including MidwayUSA, Natchez, PSA, sportsman’s, Powder valley, Midsouth shooters supply…etc. Looks to me like they are supporting the cartridges that clients already have, you just have to look for them.

I feel like the "maximum .224 caliber performance out of an AR" market is getting way oversaturated. What does 22 ARC do that 224 Valkyrie doesn't? What about 22 Nosler? From the numbers given .223 WSSM has better ballistics. All ammunition companies are doing are creating more obsolete cartridges that make the rifles chambered in them useless for the majority of people who don't reload when the cartridge quits being supported in 30 years.

How about increasing the range of Sub-X calibers. With high twist rate barreled rifles becoming more common and thermal sights for night hunting making close range shots more likely. Subsonic hunters would like to have a broader range of rifles to choose from.
