Hi guys, great live stream, missed the original stream, but I’m catching up now (7/04) This is such a great platform for the brand and the Hornby community, far better than traditional structured media events. HM7000 is so important to the business, it is a game changer, and the main reason I am watching this stream. George is so informative, and always great seeing him. Great to introduce Martyn, even in South Australia TT is taking off, both as sets and individual components. Mike you present so much better in this type platform. Mike, this is a great team structure, it could benefit from Sam (design) being on the team panel line up. Couple of points, “under promise, over deliver” reality always wins hands down to fantasy, especially for this platform. “Throwing the question open to the team” allows for a more informed discussion. Thanks again, really appreciated

Thanks so much for watching and thanks for the support. George and Martyn will really appreciate the comments 🙂 we are looking to bring more designers onto the live in the future. Mike

Probably shooting my self in the foot here but if you want to pick up younger modellers I think modern image would be a good focus like the hitachi. I’m an old steam guy but I want TT120 to be successful for Hornby

Very pleased to see the J50s - have ordered an Era 5, but wondering why there is no front coupling for a locomotive prototypically used for shunting?

There’s been a shortage of 6 pin decoders. I have seen reviews where these are too big for some TT:120 locomotives 08’s. Are there any plans to modify these.
@JWitchard7 ай бұрын
I understand from your technical department that the HM7000 steam decoder profiles don't have chuff synchronisation, the same as tts didn't. Will they have synchronisation in the future? It's not a problem with diesel locomotives, but with steam it can be a deal breaker.

Looking forward to the 37s. I moved house 18 months ago, and it's gonna take a lot of work to get a 4mm (00 and 009) layout built in the garage, and a 7mm (0) layout in the loft. So that plus the announcement of TT:120 made me decide to build a layout specifically for exhibiting in this scale. Birdforth is set on the ECML between York and Thirsk, from 1978-1983. Unfortunately, the lack of stock available for the era at the moment will make the layout less interesting than others, but that will change over time. At the moment, I have 3 of the blue 08s, 5 of the TTA tanks (for a Speedlink rake in the future, ideally), and a Toad E repainted into departmental olive grey (as per Paul Bartlett's image of one in 1975). I will be investing in at least one blue/grey HST soon (although the individual coaches are suited for 254008, and the power cars are 254004. Not to mention the buffet car is a TRSB (407xx) instead of a TRUB (404xx), and there should be a TRUK there too), and I also look forward to the 50 and mk2fs. Fingers crossed for blue/grey mk1s and Evening Star for a railtour set, and a 47 for the MGR trains.

have they ever explained why the 7000 decoders are bigger than the standard size of the other manufacturers decoders, regardless of the bluetooth?

Hi, didn't quite answer my question on the J50. I understand that the sound might not be possible, but can I work it from my Bluetooth phone app?

Wish you could sort out the audio issues in these videos. It seems the mics are never working properly, very low, distorted , or its just the camera mic working.🙃

Any news of the HM 7000 stay alives? Having to wait a year for them to be available seems a bit extreme as well as frustrating.

I'd buy a HST class 43 in the BR Executive livery (ie the livery between the original livery & swallow livery already released) tomorrow. Hopefully in a year or 2.

Will we see any hm7000 accessory decoders. I'm aware u can use the hm6010 but is there anything in the pipeline. Can you use the legacy dongle with accessory decoders.

When are you going to extended the range for the EU, as Hornby owns Jouef, which is an old French, company. ???
@stuartjohnellis7 ай бұрын
my one critic of the Hornby TT range is the wheel flange seem massive meaning the driving wheels on larger locos look small. Yes i get that there is a compromise to be made at this scale but the flanges look disproportionately larger than N scale
@Hornbyttgingernerd7 ай бұрын
I see this a lot but you need to introduce a bring in set aimed at kids at the sub 150 pounds bracket us old farts won’t last forever and you need to pull in a younger audience as well
@kellyashfordtrains26427 ай бұрын
Believe me, you're not doing very well with your TT range. You've released very few models over the last few years, and you do much better with 00 gauge. I say stick to 00 gauge and analogue controllers, it's what you do best.

@@trains_galore I don't have room for TT scale, and can't afford it. TT is an obscure new world to me, one that is considerably lagging behind 00 gauge models.
@FluidLoneknight7 ай бұрын
@@kellyashfordtrains2642 so you can't fit in a smaller than 00 scale, a scale that has only been made RTR in the UK for just over a year, something that is quite niche due to being so new hence the price being quite high, it's still substantially cheaper than it's European equivalents for once again a point I have to keep bringing up because apparently people can't see this the first time in modeling history that UK and rest of the world models are the same scale so you have massively more variety and not completely stupid with train sizes
