Hornby TT:120 April 2024 Announcement ROASTED!

TT is certainly a scale to watch!! But 00 is 15 times better in very many ways.

Personally I find TT far too small for my tastes, but I fully appreciate why its ideal for many.

I'm surprised they didn't announce a deltic. Barrow Hill RoundHouse museum in Derbyshire, has three of them which they lend out to various heritage railways.

I think the scale would greatly benefit from other manufacturers making products for 1:120 scale; Hornby cannot _own_ a ratio.

I rather like my TT120. It’s the biggest scale that I can use in my house.

The container wagons are quite good. They have already been released under the Arnold brand as HN 9737-38-39. Why Hornby decided to introduce the three new models under the Hornby badge is anyones guess. Check 2:20 them out. Not as good as my HO container wagons, but a step in the right direction. Why do they bring out a 3mm scale for railway products? It seems illogical, at least, but wrong at the worst!!

it is actually 2.54mm / foot scale, TT120. the original TT3mm is 101.4mm/foot, so, apart from track, not compatable, another weird choice by Hornby, which alienated the large number of classic Triang TT 3mm mpdellers.... Kholer has ( had) a lot to answer to

Please don't listen to the haters of criticism, just keep doing what you are doing. The people that think the OO and HO scale is too big should just have a digital layout on the computer where they can buy all the digital trains they want and make the layout as large as Europe plus the UK and more.
