This European Hornet nest was buzzing and smelling up a client's bedroom! The client could hear them scratching and buzzing around above his bed and called me to come find and remove the nest! I cut into his bedroom ceiling, and pulled the nest out and fed it to my animals!
Nest removal and nest prep process. 1:27
I wanted to answer several questions I get a ton in the comments:
Wheres the squirrel been? 8:28
Do you ever remove honey bees? 12:33
Do you ever remove bumblebees? 14:51
What do you feed your animals in the winter time? 15:55
Wild animals I get in my barn. 17:47
Feeding the chickens, Rhea, Emus, and Squirrel the Hornet nest. 20:51
I brought the nest home, and fed it to my Emus, Chickens, and Rhea!

I have moderate trypophobia (phobia of clusters of small holes) and an EXTREME phobia of maggots so I’ve been slowly watching a few of these everyday as kind of exposure therapy as i love the rest of the removal process, especially the hoovering, and mixing that with stuff that im really scared of is really helping me face my fear!! thank you so much for helping!!

I have slight trypophobia as well! I get really uneasy looking at clusters of holes, lol. And my fear of wasps is like, I see one of the buggers, even if it’s dead and I’ll stay in the next block over hiding in a bunker until it comes alive and kills me or something :)

I grew up on a dairy farm and have had my share of encounters with paper wasps. At least, I think they were paper wasps. They would build their nests in haystacks and inside farm equipment. They weren't very aggressive, but they were very intimidating when flying around.

Sweetie was ready for her close up and Peaches thinks the pupae aren’t crunchy enough. The hens are adorable when they come running. I don’t know when I missed the fact that we have European hornets around. The cells that they build are enormous. Thoroughly enjoyed this vid and all the info. Thank you.

Thanks for all the info. I think it's great that the emus and rhea protect their area. It's not surprising really. Thanks for showing a bumblebee nest. That was so interesting as I have never seen one. We have tons of bumblebees around here in western Washington state. They are black and white instead of black and yellow. I enjoy the info content almost as much as the removals and of course always enjoy watching the birdies eat. And from now on I will just feel lucky to see any squirrel footage if you happen to have a rescue.
