After years of product development and product testing…why isn’t there a suit, footwear and gloves that are 100% sting proof?
@travismaxey89217 ай бұрын
Nothing is ever gonna truly be sting proof just like no vest will ever be bullet proof. The problem with making a thicker suit is it’s heavier so it’s gonna not allow the user to be as agile. It also makes them more susceptible to overheating

I have a blind terror of wasps, actually a real phobia; it is a fear so great and irrational that i feel my heart fail and my mind go foggy. I even remember the exact moment this phobia was born: i was four years old, and was stringing beads to make a necklace on the balcony of an aunt's house. A wasp buzzed in front of my face and i was fearlessly admiring her black and yellow striped body, full of curiosity in my innocent ignorance. Then i heard my mother's scream which scared me to death and i felt myself being lifted off the ground, while watched the beads bouncing and falling off the balcony like in a slow motion scene. I have these images imprinted indelibly in my mind, and everything started from there. I have tried many ways to heal but nothing worked. PS: this man is a hero!

When I was 4 years old my mom had taken myself, my brother and my sister, to the marina in San Leandro California to feed the ducks. I was running around like a little hyperactive monster that I was, when and I kicked a Wonderbread bag that was sort of just sitting inter mixed with the rocks. It was some sort of yellow jacket nest and I was stung over a hundred times screaming like a maniac. I actually had bee stings in my eyeballs. I can't tell you how therapeutic it is for me to watch your videos, keep up the good work!!! BTW, I too love chickens.

Those were some big ones! I bought a Natural Apiary Sovern style suit that I learned about from Fredrick Dunn in case I even run into one of those or an Africanized hive of honeybees. I did some open feeding late last fall and realized I was seeing as many southern yellow jackets as I was honeybees. There's a nest somewhere nearby.

Just out of curiosity, like in the first nest in kds room, can you uld you have set up a sort of small four-sided pop-up type tent curtain thing to keep the bees to confine the bees (once ceiling's opened up) to a much smaller area? Also, when you squish one, isn't a pheromone secreted that triggers the bees to attack whatever has that smell? Thanks for bearing with me.

As a horse rider: Thank you! For removing the nest from the jump, horses hate getting stung (I don't blame them 😅), and when they get stung, it can get extremely dangerous for the horse, for the rider AND for the spectators. Imagine getting run over by a 1300ibs panicked animal... not fun... Yet sometimes we have to do this sh!t ourselves, because the professionals think that the wasps belong there ("it's not a threat to people")... So, thank you for doing this work 😊
