Hamsters are undoubtedly tied by a red string of fate to their always unique and uncanny death. And they follow that fucking string like its their only purpose in life to complete the cycle.

I had like one hamster named Cinnamon that died of natural causes, he lived nearly 4 years. The one before Cinnamon named Marshmallow(which my mom thinks was a rat) strangled itself on its cage, finally after my gerbil named Bullet got out and we never found him we decided that we were done.

@@Aimu1 I could do it. Think of it more as a transaction initially. If it works emotionally, I could eventually fall in love. I wouldn't be there just to screw anyone out of anything, I could give her support and emotional reciprocation and she could help me rent or buy a house or live or something. I could also do the sexy times. I'm not a shallow person and I can pretty much enjoy sex with most people. It could be fun.

Just in case that person who's homeless and needs advice, I've never been on the streets myself, but I have been homeless in some senses (homeless shelter, living in a house that wasn't even fit for squatters, living in trailers that were owned by someone people we knew) and I have some advice. For eating out of the garbage, go to places that have food that doesn't spoil as easily. Things like bakeries, donut shops, anything that has bread or sometimes even places that have sweet things like cakes or stuff like that. You could also go to places like Subway, and other chain restaurants that throw away a lot of bread regularly. Panera is a good option as well, because they also throw away a thought of bread. Even starbucks, their pastries would also probably be better. As for a place to stay, I say look for truck stops around you. Lots of them have showers for at least showering, and at best you can find one that safe enough to stay in a tent that you can close, or if you have a car truck stops in general. I hope this may help anyone who may need it!

I am from the UK and I work in a little bakery and we often have extra bread and stuff left over that we turn into bread crumbs usually, it is definitely worthwhile asking small bakeries as they often have extras at the end of the day!

I had a guinea pig once. He was the sweetest thing. Would even lick my nose if I fell asleep doing homework. My little brother was going through a 'throw things into the ceiling fan and watch them fly' phase. One day, I was doing a science peoject in the kitchen with my dad and we hear a loud THUMP. We were like, "what the heck??" Went to go check it out. Didn't see anything immediately wrong. Went back to project. I went to my room later to go play with Peanut and he wasn't in the cage. I started searching for him and found him behind my bookshelf, limp and lifeless. My little brother started crying and saying he just wanted him to fly. Got another guinea pig who was an absolute menace and would wake me up at all hours of the night. Even had me convinced there was someone tapping on my window at night, so my dad slept in my room for 3 nights with a baseball bat next to him.

I’ve had a few different hamsters, I originally got two because I was told how social they are and that they needed friends, turns out with the breed I had that was not the case and they often got extremely territorial. Long story short came home from school to my hamster eating the other one. He died not too long later by escaping his cage and taking a plunge off the dresser.

I try and help the homeless near my town. I don’t always have money for them but I’ll go to Walmart or a restaurant near by and pick up some stuff for them. One of them was a small family who was immigrants and was kicked out of their housing. Me and my mom went to Walmart got a big thing of water bottles, then some non-perishables and some snack cakes for the kids. The other day a war vet was asking for food and water, I went to McDonald’s and picked up some food and a sweet tea. Small things always helps. If you don’t want to give them money then pick up something to drink or eat. Small things matter. I’ve been homeless before when I was 9 or 10 not to the point of living on the streets but close. Me and my mom did couch hopping and no where was home. She had disability and couldn’t work and I was to young to get a job. We made due with what little we had. Not every homeless person is addict or put themselves in that situation, sometimes it’s something like that story or for me I had a house fire. Who knows if they are a addict your act of kindness could help push them to the right path

To the lady who is homeless. Please post this where she posted this: move out of town, to wooded country. The people there are more fond of travelers than you think. That being said, getting a job in a small town, in a small community would get you into a safer place, of mind, monetarily, and physically; it's a safer place. People in pain are people. And people who see so much pain a day, are numb to it. People who support eachother notice when the flow is off. Find a better environment, find a better life. They're coralated.

He wrote it out in r/confessions because that's all it is... a confession. For all we know he is feeling some sort of guilt which is why he feels the need to post on there.

When I was young, I had a good friend who gave me her pet hamster who we named Snuffle Uffagus, but my younger brother squeezed his eyes out and I had to bury him by myself. I went through a lot for that hamster. I had a brass bedframe and I broke my scalp open on it because my hamster was fairly nocturnal and spent a lot of time moving his bedding around at night and I pulled my covers up and basically jumped 90⁰ into the corner of the headboard with my head. That was my first ever hospitalization. Have you ever touched your own skull?

For the homeless girl. If being stinky is the main issue, plenty of places will help. Public laundry mats work with just a bit of change. And a lot of "unhoused" people say buying a gym membership with what money you do have is a worthwhile investment, just so you can shower and clean yourself up there. As for food, thats even easier because again A LOT of people are willing to help. Especially if you outright say you don't want money (and prove tou won't spend it on something bad) and just want fed.

The story at 4:56 sounds awfully similar to my life currently. I'm 20 years old & I've been raised by my grandparents who are getting old now & my mom OD'd in 2019 and left us devastated but also extremely financially unstable. Where I live in Ontario Canada the cost of living continues to go up and so does housing. When my grandparents Do eventually pass away I am completely screwed as I've got no work experience & absolutely nobody is hiring someone with no experience so I'm still unable to find work. I've only recently decided to take out student loans & try to go to college for Welding I'm hoping that with this change things might start to look up 🙏

Rats are great pets! When I was 18 I shared a house with some friends, we were all into quite heavy drinking and “consuming the lettuce” one morning after a bit of a sesh the night before everyone was out, it was my day off so I was just mooching around, we had a huge rat called George, so I wandered into the living room to feed him and clean him out, he was really affectionate and would just sit on your shoulder or curl up in your sweater, I walked in and called him, nothing, I walked over to his cage and there he was stone dead and stiff as a board, me, panicking and quit frankly hungover and traumatised phoned my mum and was crying down the phone to her that George was dead in the living room, what do I do?! She told me to sit tight she was on her way! So I waited at the front door, as my mum arrived so did an ambulance and a police car, my mum thought George was a person, I had failed to tell her it was the rat. Eventually the police and ambo crew saw the funny side of it! And my mum was mortified!😂😂😂

My cousin had a hamster and the lil dude died by scaring himself with his own sneeze I swear they're cute but prone to die in odd ways

i had 2 hamsters and they died not due to anything other than neglect from my parents, i left for a week and i had 2 hamsters, bebe and mr.whiskers, so i asked my father to take care of them and he said he would and when i came back mr.whiskers had died due to starvation and bebe only survived bc she ate some of mr.whiskers, obviously i was pissed but my father got mad at me for not taking care of them (they had 2 full bowls of food and a whole thing of water when i left) we moved and i was staying with my mother for the time being (shes blocked now and i called the cops on her) and i still had bebe and a cat named iris, she was jealous of the cat bc i loved it more than her and spent hours outside with iris bc she wouldnt let him inside, i left one weekend in February and when i came back he was missing, ik she did something to him but she hasnt actually said anything, she said he was just missing for months an will come back and i told her ik he is dead or someone stole him bc he wouldve came back so she went with a different story that an animal got him and u could tell she knew something more cuz she was a bad liar, bebe was still alive and she would get mad at me bc i didnt take care of her as often as i should bc i would go to school and she would have to take care of her (im sry i go to school?) so i decided to give bebe away bc it was for the best for bebes well being so she could live a better life, i stupidly told my mother and my gf at the time wanted a hamster so i was gonna surprise her with bebe, my mother knew everything and i was gonna give bebe to my gf at the time for Christmas, i planned everything perfectly and left the weekend before Christmas to plan everything with her guardians and i come back and my mother tells me bebe died and she burried her outside in the front yard. i 100% believe she killed that poor baby out of selfishness bc when i asked her how she died, she told me prob loneliness since i didnt take care of her and it was my fault. Cuz i left one weekend to see my gf (i left every weekend but in a couple days i was giving bebe away she suddenly dies?) but i ended up buying 2 rats for me and my gf at the time, Reggie and Stewart, later we got another one which we thought was a boy and ended up being a girl, teacup. they had tons of babies....9 to be exact. but rats r so sweet, i cuddled these rats and they would lick my fingers and curl into a lil ball and sleep in ur hand.

I always feel nervous when youtubers talk about age gap couples like they’re talking at me … Luckily I’ve never dealt with any of the things most age gap couples go through

Hamsters only live 2 or 3 years. Less if you vacuum them.

You take the dead hamster, you go to the pet store, and you ask for one that looks like that.. The dude will be like "I got you, fam", because replacing dead hamsters without the kids noticing is like half their business... When I was little I also had a hamster that lived suspiciously longer than he was supposed to...

My sister hamsters were killed by each other. She lost one of them and then I found him (long story short) but she decided to put him back in with his brother. She had been giving the remaining one a lot of attention so I think he killed the one I found out of jealousy. The first dead one had the last laugh because the murderer died a day later after devouring his brother.

I don't remember this at all but apparently when I was 5 I pulled my sisters hamsters tail off,and then she tried to tape it back on I don't know if I killed it by doing that or if it was dead before I did that but I'm glad I don't remember.

In PA I got introuble for giving donuts to this homeless guy that wonders the state, I’ve seen him everyday since I was a kid I’m 30, but yea I got wrote up bc I didn’t throw them in the trash or donate them to the police. So trying to do that advice thing for that homeless woman can get ppl in a lot of dumb trouble. But when I was homeless for six months when I was 15 I used to do those dumb surveys from McDonald’s or bk and get free food that way, everyone throws those receipts out and every homeless or scum person I knew always did that trick. Being homeless sucks but it’s an experience neither good nor bad depending who you are

I had two hamsters as a kid. One night, my dad found one that had escaped the cage and brought her back to me. When I looked in the cage, the male had his head ripped off. Our theory is that after she murdered him, she tried to make a run for it. Hamsters are savage.
