Personally, I feel like the meaning of this short is that-when you're younger you're always looking up to older people, sort of like a role model. And if you're seeing everyone else doing sexual things and growing up much faster, you're going to feel forced to, as well. So I think that the main character had a one night stand and the skin falling off and bleeding is showing that she didn't like it and cannot get her innocence back. I was literally shouting at the screen "Stop picking at it!" every time she ripped more skin and I think the picking might be a metaphor for if you start picking at a scab, it'll only get bigger. THAT meaning, the more she sexualizes herself at a younger age, the worse it'll get as she grows. I don't know, this is just my random take on it. It could be something completely different, who knows!

Sometimes I choose not to attempt to analyze metaphoric horror films. This may be one of those times. Nevertheless, this short seems to alarmingly illustrate that low self-esteem, introversion, 1st year of collegiate socials and sexual innocence are an uneasy, challenging and dangerous mix.

This was very well done, but I didn't really get the point - what happened to her? She wasn't raped, she went looking to hook up with someone. Is this a disease? Did her morals break down, so her body did too? Was he evil - did he do something bad to her? What happened is very clear, but the "why" is missing.

He took away her innocence, her virtue. She noticed that others around her were engaging in sexual activities, so she herself felt pressured to do those things as well. But after hooking up with a completely random guy, who doesn’t even care about her existence, she now regrets her decision to give up her innocence to a stranger. This is a real world issue that’s been made into one gory metaphor. Women and teen girls are consistently pressured into being sexual, even if we are not ready to engage with that kinda stuff yet. A lot of us have been forced into situations we never wanted to be in, and that’s why her skin begins to fall off. She is no longer pure, she is tainted, and there’s nothing she can do to change what happened.

Remember when monsters were monsters because they were, and horror was horror and not every movie had to have a social commentary message? I do which is why I enjoy films like this at fake value. Did it entertain me? Yes, but did it have a deep important message? Couldn't tell you because seeing everything else does, I've tuned out anything resembling messaging. I don't need entertainment to explain life to me, said so many people do.

I think it symbolizes her losing pieces of her "old younger self" especially since it started happening after say a coming of age event (losing virginity). She feels alone and distant from her old life and family where she felt whole, intact, and she knew herself. I kind of took it as she's losing pieces of herself as a young girl and with each new experience the shedding although literal in this movie is becoming more and more frequent. If they didn't have the actress show such pain while losing pieces of her old self it could almost be a beautiful tale of growth and becoming a new woman through each new experience.

She never really wanted sex. She wanted to feet in and to not feel alienated. After she realized there's no way back to "previous her" a metamorphosis started. I personally don't see first sex as losing something but this girl did. And the thought of giving something precious to a random guy traumatized her.

I see the young lady pushing for maturity and going too fast and too far at one time. The deterioration was from her regret for her actions. Her statement blaming the man at the end showed her immaturity at not accepting responsibility for a situation she initiated in trying to fit in.

Ok until the end I thought she was painfully "changing skin" in order to adapt to her new more adult environment. I didn't get the ending, though, maybe I was totally wrong :p (I'm sorry, it must be bad for a filmmaker if the audience doesn't get their meaning. I'm sure someone does!)

She left home to go to college, and while there she "fell apart", literally losing her skin (identity) to fit in with those around her. I'm assuming she lost her virginity to the guy, and realized she was losing who she was, thus the skin falling apart metaphor. If that helps. The ending I'm assuming she completely shed her skin and walked away anew. Or she completely lost herself and fell apart into nothing.

I think the point of this short is to say that having casual unprotected sex can lead to sexual transmited diseases. The young lady was immature and a follower and believed that he gave her something and she wanted him to fix the shame she felt . Only to find out that's not how it goes and just wanted to disappear drop off the face of the earth or die because of the embarrassment and shame.

WOW that really was something else. Through out the whole film it had me guessing what was going on? (maybe I should have read the prologue first however) At first I thought she was not human and trying to mirror how humans act? Which would explain why after she started peeling as she was not compatible to humans? Then the other theory was that she was in fact naive and abused. Either way really enjoyed it, great acting, great story line. To be honest I prefer the alien version in my mind.

Me as a social awkward, that you've never even seen before anywhere, I'm like the crazy level of that. If I know someone for years it gets great tho. Like I would go to a party as a social awkward😂 I love being alone and do everything mostly alone and be at peace. Just me, family and 1 buddy I knew since 1st grade at school. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with sexuality, youth or feeling bad after hookups. My take: This creature is not a human (it imitates them), it's a skinwalker, by having intercourse and devouring them it copies their appearance but has to lose the old skin like a snake does. The guy in the ending scene is not him anymore, it's "her", the skinwalker in its new form, ready to hunt at another place, this time as a young male college student

In the end, as she stood before him in the final confrontation, she was obviously hurting severely -- yet she also had great power! For some reason that scene reminds me of Brandon Lee in "The Crow"... Great acting -- because it never seems like acting -- great filming, sound effects/atmosphere, concise, efficient story telling. I liked her phone call to her parents (I assume). Very real, let's us know she does have normal life relations. "Everything's fine," when it's not; we've all made that call! What a great film! Thank you!

This is some wild stuff for real! I was wondering what exactly the guy did to her for her skin to just peel like that, I was like “is he a monster?” Did he do some voodoo magic or something?” Then I read a comment that basically explained in a theory that she was a virgin and was innocent, in essence she was clean and now she’s all dirty. It’s almost like you don’t feel human anymore, I’m still a virgin so I can only imagine how that would feel. Nonetheless these short films are very well done, like I’m watching these and just waiting for the horror, then it happens and it’s just honest to god crazy!

Hello, here was mentioned the story Metamorphosis, and the story itself is not new, today I liked the story Undress me, but in it I saw something interesting, namely the moral, here is a girl, there is a guy, there is her desire to Undress me during their dinner party, and in the end the desire was fulfilled in a terrible way, so the moral is this: please think about what and what you wish, so there is no problem later, so personally for me it is more of a cautionary tale))))
