Still better then how the Corpse Emperor treated his kids. If the Great Crusade had been successful the Legiones Astartes would have gone the way of the Thunder Warriors, and the majority of Primarchs would have outlived their purpose,. The only ones who'd likely be kept alive would've been Papa Smurf for the administration, Magnus to be a psychic power-generator slave, and maybe Dorn as an architect.

@@derpanzermacher9094 Man, even if the great crusade was completed and there was no chaos that doesn't mean that there would be no more work for the space Marines. The thunder warriors were purged for being far too unstable for the long term survival of the imperium, they were all dying and tearing themselves and everything apart when they were starting to degrade, the space Marines were made as an improved and more stable version of this method. The galaxy still requires maintenance even if the imperium's claim became so solidified, and there are often invasions from outside the galaxy i.e. the tyranids, and also maybe conquest to outside the galaxy. Although there are founding chapters that have been purged from record, this was because of severe betrayals and damage to the imperium.
I really like this voice for Horus. I always imagined the Cthonian gangs to be like space Londoners. This voice suits that well. It's respectable, but not pretentious.

This was so damn tragic. Of all the friendships among the primarchs, Horus and Sanguinius truly embodied the phrase "close as brothers." Sanguinius, our beloved angel. Unceremoniously beaten to death by the corrupted Horus, and his body then mutilated by demons. Horus, our charasmatic warmaster. Driven mad and used as a meat puppet, weeping and begging for death in the end. Two of the greatest primarchs met two of the worst ends

@@elasolezitoEugan Tember is largely forgotten also. I mean. Fck me he may have been corrupted wholesale, and chaos juiced to the gills... But that man, traitor or not took down a Primarch in his absolute gigachad prime. And not just any Primarch...Horus. And he did it with a knife! 1 vs 1. Ok, he died in said duel lol... But that still has to be one of the greatest feats ever pulled off in 30-40k lore ever?

@@ArnoldJudasRimmer.. He was a military commander right? A regular human not Astartes as far as i remember. Yes, his whole set up is to lure the overconfident Warmaster and make at least a single wound. Literally the Chaos Gods went fishing that day and made the biggest catch.

@@elasolezito he was. Horus had left him on Davin, as he respected him so much to do the task... You're right tho. Regular human. No Astartes. I mean Sanguinius nailed how many Demons? How many Greater Demons? Fck it hr dismantled a chaos infused Angron! As i said, that was some feat from Temba. Regardless of using the Athame, that is still some doing indeed.

@@ArnoldJudasRimmer.. Of course it's also to make the plot work. Anathema blade (Like in Warcraft Arthas' blade), Dragos death in game of thrones etc...I think it's a common trope. Overconfident character refuses to kill his opponent and tries to talk it out. Also the cursed weapon is guided by some otherworldly power. Horus, although no better fighter than the angel, is a beast on his own.

Man, there’s just something about them both kinda chuckling and laughing through their noses before letting it leak out to keep their composure but letting their amusement be known that’s so authentic. I’ve joked and made my friends and sister laugh sorta like that. The small bits of silence that falls after the cute pokes and small playful jabs that lead into concern and a hope for the future… man, this is so good. It emphasizes how much these dudes trusted each other as brothers and friends. It also makes what happens to both Horus and Sanguinius suck so baad. A tragedy comes in a veil of hope. Excellently portrayed.

No it’s not. They weren’t human. They were a threat to humans. Our morality does not extend to them even if this wasn’t the Warhammer 30K/40K universe where it has been unequivocally proven that there is no peace and understanding to be found amongst the stars. It is purely a matter of kill or be killed, and your weakness and idiotic, misplaced sentimentality would have gotten you killed in the same situation.

You did a really good job with the voice acting here. I adore how you can hear the camaraderie between them with how they speak to each other. They really do feel like loving siblings here; poking fun at each other, talking about their plans, and what they hope to do together once it’s all over. To know how they were makes the fact that Horus- corrupted by Chaos that twisted his otherwise noble heart and soul until it was unfeeling and black -ended Sanguinius’ life in such a horrendous way all the more heartbreaking.

He asked to be completely deleted from existence because he would just be used as a puppet again in the warp if he died a normal death, and the Emperor obliged.
