I'll be 70 this year and still a signmaker full time. Worked in my first sign shop in 76. Forty four years now in my own shop. Worked with many skilled and artistic hand lettering men. Trucks and signs were lettered with brushes, frisket or silk screened. Paints or inks. No vinyl. Most everyone I knew have passed on or retired. Blessed to have been a part of the industry before technology brought new tools. Thank you Jen for keeping the tradition alive. You are a star now and would have been back in the day!

Watching Jen at work puts me in mind of my beautiful sister Mary who was a tremendously talented artist across many disciplines and genres. This is a real dying Art. I remember watching "old timers" up on rickety ladders doing shop signs this way. Now its all health and safety, computer graphics and vinyl cut-outs. A truck done this way will be a better advertising board and more noticable than the new way. Good one Jen and ITG.

Hot Rod Jen is an amazingly talented artist, and you can tell that she really enjoys what she is doing. You can tell that she is the real deal by noticing that she makes it look like what she is creating is simple and easy to do...and it is anything but.... Fantastic look to the logo on the Big Red Truck..!!!! (Now you really have to paint over that white trim along the bottom of the bed and running boards.... :D )

I will never forget meeting Jen for the first time. It was at a car show in Jackson NJ and she was, I think, 14 at the time and has all her striping supplies in a pimped out, pinned out Radio Flyer wagon. She was a superstar then and continues to amaze. Fantastic job Jen.

Of course we have had many and will continue to have people engaged in this craft. even though we have the wonderful world of computers there is still room for the individual craftsman.
