This video bought back so many memories of when me and my wife camped like this 35 or so years ago. Now we camp in our brand new travel trailer with all the comforts of home and reminisce about how we used to rough it. Nothings better than camping with your girl either in a tent or a trailer because its all about the experience and the memories it makes. Thanks for bringing those back to me.

You should have a fan up top to circulate the heat down...Even a smallish usb fan will help..pull the cold air up and will mix with the hot and will circulate back down. Great video!!

They make a heat powered fan that you set on the stove. The greater the temp difference from the top of the fan to the base, the harder it blows. I hear they'll cut down warm up time by 30%. No electricity required

@@wolf06291980 YES!! Those are the best. They operate with a thermal generator that converts heat into electricity to run a small low voltage motor for the fan. We use two of them on our wood stove in the huse along with a pot of water and heat the whole house that way (This house is a fixe upper and has mostly no insulation and northern missouri wintes get pretty cold).

It's so easy to take our surroundings for granted and the things that we have to be grateful for just in nature. I live very near Lake Michigan and love boating on it in the evening and being able to see the night sky. You get all that snow and those northern lights, what a gift. We have some friends that we all chipped in to buy land together. One of us has a wife that is very girly and HATES that outdoors. This was fun to see how well you accommodated her worries and comforts. It's not everyone's cup of tea. But I applaud her and your willingness. At very least, she's got a great memory.

Great video, cute interaction there, lots of chuckles. She is a very good sport, and a very honest person with no phony facade (just like you). Now, if I ever had the chance to winter camp I would take baking powder biscuits and top them with canned beef stew with vegetables (do you have Dinty Moore Beef Stew up there) along for a simple, hearty meal or two. I also would have a pepper mill to put lots of black specks on it. I ain’t sayin’, I’m just sayin’!

Have you ever thought of mounting an outside air intake on the woodstove? It would heat up the tent faster and not deprive the oxygen out of the tent. Love the video's. Keep them coming.

Just a hint... there’s a fan available to put on top of your stove that runs by the heat generated by the stove. I would highly recommend getting one of those to help Crystal stay warm too. Clam also makes a light/fan combo that attaches to the ceiling to blow warm air down. Another highly recommended product to stay comfortable.

My wife used to camp with me in a tent In cooler weather when she was young and still in love now after more than 25 years she will only camp in our small pop up camper hooked up to electricity. It’s a compromise but better then nothing. Enjoy while you can.🥶😀

I once worked a Security Post with a guy who spent the entire 12 Hour shift, locked inside the Post with the Heater set to Maximum, refusing to step outside and refusing to let Me in, because all I did was stand with the door open and complain about the heat. Thus every night (6 nights out of 7) for three entire weeks, he remained inside complaining of the bitter cold and I performed all of the Patrol Duties and Responsibilities, often complaining about how hot I was.
