I have the noco GB40 jump starter. I don't drive my truck often, so I have it in the glove box with a USB charging cable plugged into the cigarette lighter. This means it gets topped off about once a week and is good to go when needed.

1 thing I disagree on. I grabbed the Klein inspection camera with USB-C at Lowes. That thing has saved me on a couple things at work and home. I even inspected a pipe for a clogged sump pump discharge. Its no frills, auto launches the cam app on your phone when inserted into the USB port. Can take screenshots on phone. send to someone. booyeah. I love it!

2:47 for storage of lithium ion batteries, 60% charge is about ideal to help prevent damage to the cells and to keep the voltage from dropping below the critical point that the circuit board kills the charge procedure. Storing a battery full increases the charge imbalance and causes more damage and potential damage to the cells.

just a heads up on the Koken ratchets. The flex handle 1/2 one is only 24 teeth so one of their older designs, probably still a nice ratchet but you don't expect 24 teeth anymore. The non-flex 3/8 is their newer 72 tooth design, I have a shorter handle version of this and it is really nice, low back drag and very well made and $52 is a great price!

I’ve been into woodworking for 20 years and I’ve NEVER seen that Dewalt thickness planer for over $700. Thats just a ploy to make you think you’re getting a great deal! That planer has been $550-600 for 20 years now!

I have the DeWALT chainsaw and it is a beast. I use the heck out of it limbing trees and it's never let me down. Amazingly the chain has lasted a long time. It was a little bit of a pain to find a comparable replacement chain that wasn't the dewalt chain but I did find it. The jump box power inflater combo has let me down in the past....maybe not that brand but I have yet to find one that can air up my 80 psi tires.

I just spent a few hundred bucks last month filling out all the cars with jump starters and inflators! I was just looking at one this weekend and wondering why they don't make an all-in-on in this compact form factor. I guess they do! I'm tempted, but that will put me way over.

Stuff like ruitool japanese saw is the type of item that for SOME people its better to buy from china direct. The $2.24 japanese hand saw I bought should last me for years for the little bit I need it. Stuff like that oscillating tool blades etc is almost a good enough quality for a fraction of the price. Honest question regarding jumper packs or cordless impact lithium battery packs in car trunks - I live in Texas and we were already having triple digit heat in June; is there a risk of spontaneous combustion or thermal runaway as hot as it would get in a car trunk during summer heat?

8:52 Menards has a 5/8 chuck brushed paint mixer with a top and side handle and 25 foot cord for a similar price as I recall. I know it’s not the same, but what else do most people use corded drills for anyway?
