There’s definitely a novelty to this release, I would have personally picked the ‘89 Keaton suit (given its importance in WB’s history & the subjective opinion that it’s just the better suit for this colour scheme) but I understand that The Dark Knight Trilogy is still the most popular Batman to general audiences and the it’s a fun ‘What If’ that juxtaposes a little bit more than if we got either Keaton suit or, like you said, the Affleck suit.

This looks a hundred times better than the promo photos made it look. I would love to see this colour scheme on a Keaton and Affleck Batman. The deeply saturated metallic blue is perfect because it makes the blue look like a lighting effect, which is what it is supposed to be.

Puts in the mind of Injustice 2 where you can take full suit styles or mix and match to make suits you find cool or stronger, and then you just choose the color scheme you want for the suit. So, in this case, Dark Knight suits the classic color scheme. I like it. Batman Begins suit will likely forever and always be my favorite Batman suit of all time, but this is still cool, too, even with this color scheme. The Cowl on this figure is definitely my favorite part of the entire thing.

I kind of liked it before i had it in hand, but once i got it in hand i loved it. I agree that the cape should have been the same color blue as the cowl. I made a wired caped closer to the blue of the cowl myself.

If it was on the Batman Begins suit which visually is SO MUCH BETTER than the TDK suit, these colors could have worked. But they chose the suit that looks like a fusion of Motocross and hockey gear with a tiny head and giant neck. Either way, good review Justin.

Incredible review Justin! I love what they did with this figure, but if they would have done the blue sections in black it would have been top 3 most beautiful figures I've seen. Like the costume design would be as perfect as the new Wolverine costume. Also I don't really like the idea of Superman Batman and Wonder woman all being blue

The phrase you're looking for is "money grab." I like this version but it's also "look we have a bronze age" Batman look. They could have given the bat symbol a yellow outline and called it "Rebirth" version. It's the same stuff McFarlane Toys does all the time. Use the same sculpt and just change the color scheme.

I have a bitter sweet story with dx original I had broken the arm at the shoulder I had been playing too fiercely with it I had cried for so long But I decided not to give up and repair it somehow I bought a bonding plastic playdo on ebay It was segu something I glued it with it and it bonded after 30 minutes But before I did so, I decided to get backup plans and some reworks I took out the mesh suit underneath to increase articulation I stitched back the suit at his back section As a backup plan I bought another body, a regular one with regular skin colour I checked the arms and feet and they fit If my figure breaks again, I need not worry But so far, I'm very careful with my figure and I have to say - THE ARTICULATION IS TERRIBLE ON THIS ONE UNLESS YOU TAKE OFF THE MESH SUIT THEN IT IS SIMPLY FANTASTIC YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING WITH IT AND IT STILL LOOKS REALISTIC I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DID THAT IT WAS STUPID TO PUT ANOTHER PIJAMA UNDERNEATH BUT AFTER MODIFICATIONS IT CAN BE YOUR BEST FIGURE IT JUST TAKES BALLS TO CUT THE STITCHES BEHIND I WAS DESPERATE TO REPAIR IT AND I IMPROVED IT WITH GODDAMN EBAY PLASTIC AND A NEEDLE NOW I AM VERY CAREFUL WITH BUYING HOT TOYS FIGURES IT IS RISKY BEST REGARDS

@@JustinsCollection thank you But you know, what ends happily, is in the end happy ending And ultimately I am a happier person I just posed the figure (dx12 batman tdkr) and reposed it just to brag a little now: Not only is the shoulder sturdier (I have more confidence in moving this one instead of the opposite one) But because of that adventure I have almost spiderman level articulation without losing the body quality WHATSOEVER I mean he did not have problems with the arms, they are well articulated, you know yourself, you have such a figure But now I can move his legs to make a very wide step, to the sides it is just a tad below the splits level Remember Injustice 1? During his hyper, he throws an explosive batarang before the batmobile carhood hit - he does an epic pose and growls NOW I CAN DO THAT, IT'S INEFFABLE, I WILL NEVER SELL THIS FIGURE, well now I think I can't and I don't wanna, after all the love I gave it Really, I don't know why they put these mesh suits in hot toys figures It brings more harm than good But now it stands proudly next to my 13 figures from hot toys and sideshow Take care mate, I always watch your content, and it really is the full and valuable content Very rare nowadays, people do videogames reviews and they think this is art, can you believe that? This is somehow better than the actual movie suit. One of my complaints with the Dark Knight suit is how the bat logo kinda disappears into the suit and it's hard to see. In this one the logo pops out and I like that.
