I also noticed that you wore neck a neck scarf Paddy. These are terrific in both hot and cool weather. Remember also that if you are not urinating regularly then your body is dehydrated. Thanks for your helpful tips.

Spot on with the advice there paddy, only thing I would add is to not wait until you feel thirsty to drink water, by then you are already dehydrated.

Yep, definitey. I was stopping ever 30-50km in that heat.

That's really the main thing, you have the days booked and it has to be done. Same thing with Germany for me, I'd love to do it in summer but that's a lot bloody harder to do! I think it's mad seeing people riding in minimal clothing in heat, it makes sense to keep the skin away even with suncream! I feel you were a lot more sensible and prepared than another youtuber who just made a similar trip :P Great video amigo.

Yeah, I can’t afford to be in hospital with heatstroke and drop my bike all the time 😂

Great points. I carry 4.5 liters everyday when traveling, but even when going for a few hours. You’re the man! Lo es the series and looking forward to keeping up with you! Planning the trip must have taken some effort, where to stop, how far to go, finding places to stop on the way, changing it up while en route, etc.

You do have to work out the logistics in advance alright, especially with regard to petrol. My bike is thirsty and has a 17 litre tank so a fair amount of time was spent on google maps working all that out in advance. I did live in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek for a few years so at least the heat and all that wasn’t a shock to me!

Even if extreme heat is not a problem in my part of the world, this just made sense... 🇳🇴☕

Maybe so but you see some people out in those temps with no sense at all.

Your Uluru trip videos just seemed to end without a video showing some glorious triumphant return to Townsville. Did you just get fed up?

Nope, I recorded a heap of footage on the last day only to discover that I had accidentally set the audio to mute and couldn’t undo it. As such, it was all unusable!
