Me and my wife just came back from the Philippines (non-OFW). Yes, we went through 10 days hotel quarantine even though we were both fully vaccinated. What can I say about our visit to the Philippines? Well first of all, 10 days of quarantine took half of our vacation time. Second, it was very expensive because of the hotel, food and the PCR Covid tests. My advise to our mga kababayan, kung hindi naman gaano important and pag visit nyo sa Pinas wait nalang kayo until this stupid IATF travel protocol is over.

Sobrang pahirap sa non OFW like us. Phil govt should reconsider their protocol. Why? Agree!! Some of IATF’s rule doesn’t make sense at all. What’s the difference between being vaccinated in the Philippines vs being vaccinated in the US. It’s my 8th days here in hotel cebu. It so boring. 1st & 2nd day in hotel its fine but the rest of days forward was mentally distressful. My suggestion if you wanna come home & be quarantine for 10 days make sure prepared. TVs here have usb for kids or you wanna play xbox or ps console play games or watch netflix, playing cards or anything you enjoy doing during the day, exercise light equipments & etc. Bring some snacks some hotel wont allowed food delivery. Ask hotel attendant to deliver you gallons of water. Just be prepared & goodluck!

All these quarantines are hurting the businesses, beach resorts, and cities. Many businesses have closed for good, the same for beach resorts. They are killing travel from abroad by removing what we come to the Philippines for. A lot of the foreigners have left the Philippines never to return, that's a lot of money coming into the communities that will not come back again. So actually the Philippines is loosing big on tourism, that will not returm any time soon and especially as the lock downs continue. I came here 1/1/2021 from Reno Nevada as this is my wife's country and she has property here. I have been locked up in a condo can't go out because of my age. I cannot go to a beach resort or mall here due to mu age I am a young 75. We are not considering leaving the Philippines for Guam.

7 days still a lot! It's not advisable to go home. If you are fully vaccinated and 2 days are enough just for precautions and swab test is okay and they should let you go.

To be honest, the last 4 days were just a formality. No one called us or even instructed us to call our LGU, we just went straight home after the 10 days hotel quarantine. Any mode of transport is fine for going home.
