Hi everyone! In this quick tutorial video, we are going to learn how to turn a painting into a liquid animation and explore how to mix different types of fluids depending on the color. This video will be very easy to follow and super fun to explore all the possibilities.

Great tutorials . Extremely helpful stuff . If it isn't too much trouble may I suggest increasing Global UI scale by 10% as it can be sometimes harder to see due to youtube compression .(e.g. as I was following the BOIDs tutorial it was hard to differentiate between + and * ). Thanks.

you can. I'm just used to redshift coming from cinema4d. But the new karma render is really good. give it a try!

Thanks a lot for your efforts.. Quick question please.. Could I turn this into a colored smoke... And if so.. How would you approach that... Could I just connect the final cash to another dopnetwork.. And treat it as a smoke object... Would that work? Or maybe turn it into a volume? Thanks again

good question. if you just want to render it as smoke, maybe you could convert the particles into fog vdb.

It is possible to export this points for example to 3ds Max and render with Octane render?

yes! you can use the blur node, or set it with vex. like an infectious simulation :)

I dont't get it - why do we need 2 first Bind Exp (hue and value)? I turned it On/Off - nothing changes. As I see - u dont use it in any part of scene (or is it me - blind:))?

Use a dop io at the end for better results! and for higher res

@@RetaliationSnipez I meshed the particles , u still have to use high particles but you get rid of those tiny holes between particles watch the very end of this video : kzbin.info/www/bejne/eojblJmQgtiNjZo also used a smooth node to smoothen out the geo

@@MBSJQ Plug in the "ParticleAttributeLookup" in the diffuse color of RS mat. That's it :)

this is render with redshift ;) render the points as particles. dont convert the fluid to mesh.

Doxia Studio ok thank you will try that. I followed exact tutorial but when open redshift inside Houdini nothing was showing lol (obvs a newbie) haha

Doxia Studio sorry dude still struggling have found the render as particles but not it just comes up as white particles and not with the image?

@@MBSJQ hey bro, check this tutorial by the great Rohan! it helped me to understand particle render when i was starting. you need to be sure the Cd attribute is a point attribute and then on the rs_material you need to put a Point attribute node, get the Cd, and connect it to the color from material. vimeo.com/182543771

What are ur pc specs? Wondering if this is doable on my pc!

it is possible trust me xD I dont have a huge pc, i7 with 64gb ram and a 1070ti gpu. Not overpower pc as you can see, the trick is done with filecaches haha

Doxia Studio I only have 32gb of ram unfortunately, I’ve been doing the liquid sims on my masters project and it’s been difficult on my pc so was wondering if this would be doable
