I got the unlocked version and was so excited and hopeful. Sadly I'm returning it. I had the same issue with the bronzer.. it looked like gold dust on my face (I'm nc43, Fenty 310/330). Also the finishing powder had gold sparkles that really stood out in the sunshine on my skin. It just didn't look natural but under low light the finishing powder was ok. Blushes and highlighter was great but not worth keeping the palette for that price if I'll only be happy using half of it😔.

@@gigizbeauty9827 Great video. Hourglass needs to rethink the powders. In my opinion stop the insanity of glittery powders. Gifted my volume one pallet 9yr old Granddaughter to play with even on her face ridiculous glitter keep in mind her skin is flawless. Mood Exposure blush beautiful no glitter same with nude blush. By the way essence nude highlighter lovely no glitter can't believe 5.00 for quality highlighter pan huge Made in Poland no talc.

Thank you for reviewing and comparing both palettes. We are similar in skintone so I love to see your reviews. I knew as soon as I saw which bronzer they picked for the "deep" palette it wouldn't actually be suitable for deep complexions. Personally, I've had a single Radiant Bronze Light and loved it on my medium/tan skintone but mine had darker marbling. However, it is a very light and glowy bronzer that just keeps warmth and life to the face with very little contouring. Golden Bronze Light from the original Unlocked palette is darker and has no marbling so I'm not sure why they didn't use that bronzer or make a new, deeper one. I love the blushes on both, however and they looked gorgeous on you. I'm still waiting for my palettes because there was a problem in transit.

Awesome review hun! I'll pass on both palettes. I have purchased their blushes and a finishing powder separately and they are lasting forever so I don't see the need to pick up a palette where I can't use half of it.

I got the Unlocked Palette and the bronzer is a bummer. I just use the 'bronzer' as a topper to blend any harsh lines from other bronzers in my collection.

Totally 💯 agree with you Dear: it seems that Hourglass ⌛️ has interchanged the bronzers from one ☝️ palette 🎨 to the other= very weird 🤨 what they did ☹️. Luckily 🍀🍀🍀 I ordered the unlocked one ☝️ despite the fact that I’m a light to medium complexion= hope 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻it will work for me as well and thanks 🙏🏻 a lot for this great 👍🏼 review of both palettes 🎨 ! 💕💕💕💋💋💋💋

I think the Universe suits you best, with the exception of the infinity powder. However, I don't like the infinity powder on anybody. I think the ambient powder in the unlocked suits you very well. The blushes are gorgeous, but so are the others on you. The bronzer in the Universe is surely darker, and also much more beautiful.

Well.. For what’s worth, I found your review valuable. I’m light-medium but the unlocked palette was much better for my skin tone that the light medium palette a couple of years ago. Since this year we can choose one palette, I found your review on the light medium palette useful. I decided to wait for this review on the unlocked to pick one or maybe neither of them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm light to medium with yellow and a little olive depending on what color clothes I'm wearing. Lol. I ended up picking the darker palette and I find it easier to blend out then previous palettes. Maybe formula has changed. I'm loving the blush and finishing powder. Don't care much for bronzer but I can still use it as eyeshadow. Use gotta go lighthanded but the end result is very natural subtle put together look.

I keep thinking you are expecting a bronzer to be a contour, which it is not. The bronzer with deeper blush looked good on you as med tan. Would not work on deep or dark. On that we agree but I think your commentary flipped on using the words "deep" and "med tan" in 1 or 2 places. Just want to clarify.

Whoever put that bronzer in the unlocked palette needs several smacks on the head!! Why would you put a lighter bronzer in the richer palette than the lighter palette? 😡
