For a moment House believed he was being help by Cuddy with his addiction to vicodin but` it turns out this was just another one of his hallucinations.

Season 5 Episode 24 "Both Sides Now"
House and the team are intrigued by Scott (Ashton Holmes), a man who has undergone a corpus callosotomy procedure to treat epilepsy. Due to this, both sides of his brain are at war for dominance over the body resulting in him having Alien Hand Syndrome where he can't control his left arm. At the same time Cuddy and House try to deal with their relationship after spending the night at his apartment. The next day, House tells Wilson that he has stopped taking drugs and had sex with Cuddy, to which Wilson responds "Wow". But he also tells him that Cuddy may be repressing her feelings for him, and is trying to avoid him. Finally House realizes that his night with Cuddy and her helping him to stop his addiction to Vicodin was all an elaborate hallucination. With his hallucinations spiraling out of control, House is forced to go into a mental health facility after becoming unable to tell fantasy from reality.

There was no lipstick on the cup because there was no lipstick anywhere. Not on House's face or on Cuddy's lips. Also, the tube of lipstick that House pulled out of his pocket was imaginary. He was actually holding a bottle of Vicodin. He hadn't really detoxed.

I don't know if it's just coincidental but I've noticed that in other clips, the cameras tend to use some sort of motion stabilizer to keep the image steady. In this clip however, the scenes where House appears look to have been recorded intentionally shaky, not sure if it's a given but felt it was worth pointing out. Feels like a huge hint about which parts of the episode are actually hallucinations.

I think everything happened within context of the two other people involved being different to House because is hallucinating evidence of something he think happened. So the conversations between House and Wilson could be real as Wilson full well knows this has always been a thing and as far as he knows, they slept together. He has no reason not to believe House. Some people seem to be thinking be questioning entire situations beyond the initial Cuddy hallucination but really I think the only thing shown to be real to House only is the lipstick and it's remnants. In all reality, it's his vicodin. There is no lipstick. So could easily be missed when Wilson assumes the opposite. He doesn't say, "look at this tube of lipstick", so there wouldn't be an obvious reason to suspect otherwise.

What are you talking about? House wasn't Lucid Dreaming. He began taking the too much of his medicine to deal with physical and emotional pain. He ups the dosage so much that he begins having hallucinations, and soon cannot tell the difference between his hallucinations and reality

This isn't the hallucination, having sex with Cuddy was the hallucination. This is the morning and days after the hallucination. Basically, he thinks they had sex, but they didn't. They simply had a small argument in which he insulted her. But, House is now hounding her to get her to talk about the sex, but of course, she's not acknowledging the sex, since she has no idea that that even (supposedly) happened. She merely thinks he's hounding her because of the argument and the insult. That's why, in the beginning, she says, "We need to talk." She was talking about the argument, while he thought she was talking about the sex. In other words, they're both on two separate pages thoughout the whole episode, and neither one realizes it.
