27:03 Roose doesn't have blue eyes, they are nearly colourless. Somewhere between stone and milk, is one direct description. It's what makes him especially unnerving to strangers.

House Crabb of Crackclaw point. Nimble Dick is one of my favorite side characters and I appreciate all of his tales. The Whispers their former seat is one of the most interesting locations in Westeros. According to Nimble Dick his ancestor Clarence Crabb was married to a necromancer who reanimated severed heads to council him and they’d whisper to each other. The castle does also have caves and beneath it and when the tides shift and sea water enters it does create a whistling or whispering sound. It also has a young weirwood growing in the castle. Members have served in the kings guard. They sided with the blacks.

I'd love to see a deep dive into the other valyrian houses in Westeros (perhaps lumped together because some of them we don't know a lot about). But before that I think it'd be good to have a general ASOIAF stream for questions that don't fit a particular house, or about people who have already been covered.

Maybe a group video of the houses in the south that kept the old gods. House blackwood and house royce come to mind.

I love this streaming! House Bolton is not talked about enough, in my opinion. Such a interesting house! Thank you for that. I would love a streaming with smaller houses, that aren’t worthy of a full streaming, but together, would be great. Some with interesting background, or that have some unexpected important moment in history, or a link with important houses or people from important houses. Anyway, just an idea. I love the Daynes (I am unapologetic a Ned+Ashara shipper btw! 🤣) Can’t wait for that streaming.

1:08:24 A small problem with Roos´s plan is that if you keep overspending your ally´s armies, you are eventually going to run out of them and your own army won´t be enough to do the job.

I'd love a rundown of House Balckwood. An ancient and powerful house that always appears throughout the story.

18:00 Catelyn is described as clever, but never shown as clever. Quite to the contrary in fact. The only good advice she ever gives is when she demands that her son stays true to his word that he has given to Freys.

1:31:55 But if the others are attacking and Danaerys is still settling down in the south it will take some time for her to go join the fight. I would be surprised if they manage to hold the wall of Winterfell without her help. Especially if the one holding kingslanding then is occupied with other stuff. The wall needs to contact Dany, convince her, then she needs to get there and her army aswell. And all of that in the deepest winter imaginable. They might contact dany when the others are at the wall but as soon as she joins the wthers will be in the taking of Winterfell.

I like the idea that Roose is actually a skinchanger that has perfected being able to "warg" into his offspring, perhaps using his leeches in blood magic to augment the chances of having a child that is a skinchanger so he can have second life after second life in his successors. I don't think this is true, but I like the idea.

Kind of interesting you don’t hear about any women Boltons marrying into other families
@Levacque Жыл бұрын
That's true. The only Bolton maid we've even heard of was one of the hundreds of candidates for Aegon III's bride, but she was more pragmatic than to go there expecting a marriage. She asked for food to take home to the North, barely even bothering to put her claim forward.
@dgg2999 Жыл бұрын
@@Levacque see that’s really weird to me. If the Boltons were always waiting on an opportune time to turn on the Starks then you’d think they would be making marriage alliances with different houses. Hopefully we will get some type of answer one day lol
@Levacque Жыл бұрын
@@dgg2999 I think it was just the extremity of the situation, because you should be totally right under normal circumstances. But we're told the winter was particularly awful and the whole North was suffering, and the Cattle Show had such an overwhelming amount of maidens in attendance that her odds were basically zero even if she was from a politically prominent House.

There’s evidence that organ donation recipients can gain a similarity to the donor, and there have been reports of people starting to remember something that happened to their donor, almost like the memories are stored in the tissues of the organ, like an octopus leg that’s been ripped off. This would mean that rather than the previous theories about memories being held in the peripheral and autonomic nervous system rather than just in the hippocampus(body rather than just brain). I imagine there’s some truth to this, seeing as it’s been reported repeatedly and the stories I’ve heard were about how people can remember things they’d have no ability to know, but the donor’s family has confirmed. With that in mind(and assuming GRRM had the chance to hear about this phenomenon), do you think it’s possible he wrote in the shared memory of the faces to the Faceless Men to allude to this concept of peripheral/autonomic nervous system memory. Maybe, part of the reason they harvest faces from those who come to the temple for a peaceful passing is because the Faceless Men don’t want to be exposed to the memory of a painful or traumatic death…🤔 Now THAT could become a rabbit hole…..
