Hello Juell’s family. First and foremost, I’d like to extend my condolences. I always looked forward to your father’s postings of wisdom and down to earth southern hospitality… and being of the same age (60) and having three young adults of the same ages, there was an interesting connection for sure. With that being said and knowing that you’re headed back to the States. Like yourselves, I’m a first generation American Filipino. My parents immigrated to the US in the late 1950’s and being the 5th child of ten kids, I always and forever consider myself truly blessed to have been born and raised in the US and which I continually thank the Great Maker each and everyday… And here’s why: When I was a junior in high school, I joined the fire explorer program through the Boys Scouts of America and at 21 years old, I was blessed to have a career in the fire service until retirement at 50. I can and always say, I’m living the American dream and I know you for sure, with hard work, dedication and determination, you will achieve your dreams. I look forward to your future posting.

Young lady, I don’t know HOW you’re managing with your father’s passing.. ( I lost my mother then my father later) I still tear up thinking of my mother and that was 10 years ago. I watched your father on another expats channel reveal his terminal situation. Knowing his own situation and the end, brought me to tears seeing how scared he was and watching him cry as well. Mostly hearing his concerns about you “his children”. I barely got thru that vlog. Remembering how scared my mother was knowing the “same” as your father did. I hope you were able to really speak to him before he passed. I missed that chance, regret is what I live with and try my best to this day to make up for it by talking to my mom even after all this time passing. Sorry for your family’s loss…. Hopefully your dad made you smile and laugh some times. peaceful Journeys to you.

Sorry for the loss of Juells, may he RIP! It is a nice place but very expensive for the Ph. I am sure someone will rent it. You didn't give us the location, other than it is up a road about a tenth of a mile. We are not familiar with where it is located, but I am sure many here are. I am so sorry for your loss, I think you should be able to rent it at that price, especially for a free standing house and not a condo....for $40K php....that really seems like a good price. I hope you are able to do a a "reset" with your lives in the US.
