The only positive to come out of her death is for parents to caution their kids with this story. This is different if than if she was abducted walking home from school, her action of sneaking out resulted in her death. 16 is too early in my household, no dating till your able to get married, being a teenager is complicated enough, focus on other things. Teenage dating is too much drama, I made mines wait, even 18 was too young, you haven't even developed yourself yet, why try developing someone else, it worked out extremely successful.

I used to have a 17 year old boy living across the street from me that had his 15 year old Girlfriend living with him . At his parents house AND the parents and two more Younger kids also lived there.

If you live in UT that is normal, not sure about other states. In UT girls are encouraged at young ages to have boyfriends, they are expected to get married at 18 or they are considered an old maid.

Even the most involved parents can’t control everything their children do. Sneaking out at midnight means she knew she wasn’t supposed to leave the house. Sad situation.

@@dianalee508 at 12 years old?? U can’t control what a 12 year old does??? My daughter is 2 Goddaughter is 22 and when she was with me I put her room upstairs and stuck a camera directly outside her window……sorry to say but if u don’t wanna raise your kids then don’t have them

@@cmoore9354 It sounds to me like this is not the first time this girl has snuck out. I also don’t know the parents involvement or lack there of but I do know of parents who were “helicopter” parents and the kids still found a way to sneak out. Sad all the way around. IMO a 12 year old shouldn’t even know of having a boyfriend or of sneaking out to meet him. Kids these days are seeing and hearing too much from the internet, television and other kids at school. I’m glad my days of raising children are over. I raised my 3 and then 2 of my grandchildren and never had that problem. They made mistakes but not anything that put them in harms way.
