We drove through many times and at different times over about twenty or more years ,it has changed but it was HOUSTON / SPACE CITY biggest small town everyone knew everyone local, the HEIGHTS, ART DISTRICT ETC so" it was safe as you were alert to be respectful and just smart "but I WILL SAY, When ever there was some hurricane or tornado that blew people in from Louisiana or some flood it became overrun with people who didn't care as much for HOUSTON in many ways... and in my opinion that is what it is today a "revolving door" and the regulars are doing their best to hold onto what HOUSTON was and what the vision for HOUSTON was- for many businesses / entrepreneurs homeowners that are VERY TEXAS PROUD ♥️🇺🇸IN MY OPINION😁

Hmm apparently its only in some areas. The 5th ward is the worst to go to. According some mg bf who lived in Houston his whole life and won't get out of Houston. In my eyes I don't like houston because of the traffic and I'm not moving everywhere like he wants us to I've traveled and moved since I was born. But its not that trashy or loud. I'm not even from texas but I grew up in texas. First time I lived here without family I got into a car wreck or two. The first one was the second day of being in houston. The second one was on the way to my old job. Needless to say its not easy getting around houston. Even after a few months my bf things I'll know every book and crane of this city. I hate it. Why am I still here? Because my bf wants to live here for 10 more years. Like he needs to adventure out more. I've done enough ( military brat). He's upset that I don't want to live in houston. He doesnt see anything wrong with houston. When we find a place we can afford them he goes " no , that's too ghetto" yeah well its what we can afford. I don't like apartments. Never did. Need a renting house if he wants to live in this place for a long time. Apartment is only a temp for most people. All the bugs like german roaches.nasty. we have animals and he wants me to use the boric stuff. Not easy to do.

Usually over a girl, or because of a girl in some way. Lol.
