Watching PDR is like magic. That the metal can be stretched and shrunk with so little movement and no heat is so surprising.

As a 60 year old body man I'm amazed at how little dust there is! I've been so used to just sanding and bondoing dents, that I never realized how they can be fixed, with the right tools and experience. Excellent video to get me motivated. I think the first thing I'm going to do is buy the light. Thanks

i live in Australia and have been in the auto body repair industry at a panel shop for the last 17 years and we have a pdr fellow who is very good but he doesnt want to take on a weekend apprentice as i only have weekends available to me for learning this craft. Here in Australia pdr companies move around with the bad weather. where ever the hail is hitting thats where they go. One day they're here the next they aren't. So i thought if i began learning how to pdr i could eventually have it as a side hustle option along with my other side hustle (car detailing). Thanks for your videos. Am just getting started going through them all. I am also watching Clark Ken the man of steel's channel as he show cases many different kinds of dents he removes. I feel that you guys offer the best info for ppl wanting to learn about pdr and the techniques you both use. Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge and skills. I am paying very close attention :D

I love watching a professional craftsman, you did an amazing job explaining and showing us your beautiful work. I have a small rock dent on my door, next time I'm in the area I will definitely call for an appointment with you guys. Great show.

Good overview. I’ve been practicing PDR on almost every paint job, great learning tool. I will remove most, if not all dents with PDR then if time is starting to get long to get finished, since im painting anyway, it might be a very small fill to make perfect. I agree, you have to be patient, as this takes time to ‘work’ it out

Hi Myke. I love watching your work and how you explain the process of repair. I was wondering on your line board how thick are the black lines and how wide is the white gap between them? Best regards from Canada

I had PDR done recently on my Miata for a door ding. When you look directly at the door it looks perfect, but I can see what appears to be like a seam at certain angles when I look at the door from the side outside. It bothers me because I thought it should look perfect. I had another PDR gentleman who said it looked like the metal was stretched. He said he wouldn’t be able to repair unless maybe denting again and starting over. Any suggestions for a perfect outcome?

Keep looking for a tech who is willing to take it on. There are really good techs, you just need to check reviews and their work to make sure they are consistent. We are all like plastic surgeons. There are good ones and there are bad ones. I’m not saying this was true for you, but unfortunately most people choose a PDR company based on price alone. And as you can tell for yourself that’s a flag for sure.

Make sure you get the attention you deserve. Make sure you aren’t in a class room full of other students. Make sure you aren’t training first on a propped hood. Make sure you aren’t talking to a sales representative. Make sure you are able to speak to the trainer afterwards. Just make sure you didn’t pay for a vacation instead of real hard core PDR training. 😉 if you’re a veteran.. don’t get taken advantage of.
