Congrats Andy. Your story is very inspiring. I’m a long time vegan and don’t have diabetes, but I still learn so much from Charmaine, especially with food ideas. Thanks Andy and Charmaine !!! ❤️🌱🫐🍐🍇🍋🍏🍒🥑❤️

As much as I appreciate the inspiration, what I wanted is information. So what (in short) did you DO?

Doesn't all carbs convert to sugar ? So the insulin is going high???

I have a question. I just got my a1c blood test drawn on May 21 2024. And it was 5.3 which is normal. Does the A1c include the month of May? So from March 2024 to May 2024 which is 3 months or from February to April 2024 which is 3 months?
@VA.RN915 ай бұрын
Hemoglobin A1C provides an estimated average of blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months, roughly corresponding to the lifespan of a red blood cell. While it's not precise in terms of specific days, you can gauge the blood sugar control over the preceding 90 days from the A1C result.

This is not my experience. I do not think the source of the disease is always the same for the symptoms. I"ve not eaten, or eaten just meat, and been pumped with insulin, walked, run, swum, and biked for hundreds of miles and my sugar never seems to go down. I've been sick on more medications for typ2 than I can even recall. I've been on so many fasting diets, etc. I've suffered. I'm glad y'all are learning. I would love the day everyone would stop yelling and blaming me. I do exactly what I'm told and it' never works. I'm either too dramatic or not suffering enough. And I'm always a Liar. Which makes no sense. And no matter what other issues I have, everything is blamed on me being overweight. And not the reverse. Nothing that just masks my other symptoms helps those either. I think perhaps I'm not from earth. Earth doctors do not help and so egotistic, they do see the little green man in front of them. I've been put through extreme treatments, medications, surgeries, diets, etc for 25 year with little if ever any even temporary progress. And people learn of my issues and think 10 minutes on google or webmd are going to find an answer. Like I've not tried everything. Like I say, they are happier to blame me, call me a liar, say I am over dramatic, and have not suffered enough, than help me. And everytime, insurance changes, I have to start over. Even with medications I know will make me sick. I bring records. I bring doctor's notes. INsurance says.... So I stopped everything, and magically lost most of the weight, but complications caught up with me. So, it wasn't the weight. The meds do make me fat. Sigh. Im trapped. If you are the same, I have no magic words for you. But you are not alone. I wish medical folks would just listen and help one of us.

Why are people loosing weight on keto and carivore tho???
@CharmaineDominguez3 ай бұрын
It’s a symptom based approach and doesn’t focus on reversing the root cause of the problem. I have many clients that come from a keto/ low carb background because it’s not a long term solution.
