Hello everyone, I was doing the keto diet with lots of eggs meat and vegetables and it was destroying my health with high blood pressure, high A1C 6.1, high cholesterol ,osteoarthritis, I started A plant-based diet on high carbs like rice, potatoes, corn, beans And lots of vegetables, I no longer have high blood pressure cholesterol and my A1C is under a 5.5 I feel so much better I thank God for the people that spread the good news on lowering your A1C and living a better lifestyle instead of depending on these lying doctors who only want you on a lot of medication so that their pockets can get fat...

I agree with Charmaine on most things but on eggs no, British Professor of nutrition expert Dr Spector recommended eggs and pretty much is on a par with Charmaine on everything else including condemning the keto diet and slamming saturated fat and beef, whole grains lupins lentils split peas walnuts almonds pomegranate apricots peaches cherries spinach unprocessed complex carbohydrates are recommended by the professor

Charmaine, I’m a long time vegan and do not have T2 diabetes, but I still love listening to you and learning so much about different healthy foods. I’ve actually started eating yautía because of you which I didn’t even know existed. Also, 3-ingredient corn tortillas and nopales for breakfast !!!!! 🌱❤️🍃❤️🌱❤️🍃❤️🌱

To see if Beet juice increases your blood sugar you can check your blood sugar after having it. I take beet. I blend it with ginger and make them into ice cube and take some in a glass of warm water. If it’s blended whole rather than juiced it’s better. It’s considered a whole food. You can make a tasty salad with beet slices or chunks with sliced onions and lemon juice

Eggs are pretty high in fat (saturated fat) and cholesterol 😬 best to limit or avoid since may increase the risk of certain health conditions

I agree with her. When I eat eggs I loose control of cholesterol. I know some people can eat eggs, specifically those who do weight lifting, but not me, and more than half of the people out there.

But eggs, meat, fat, cheese do not spike blood sugar, and keeps it stabile, keeping you satiated and preventing binge eating. I am 1 year keto, lowered my blood sugar 100mg/dl, and my cholesterol and triglycerides to normal in 6 weeks.

Do you look at beta cells and insulin fasting ? My a1c is 5.7 and insulin is high 106pmol beta cell high ... What about oxylates??? Also is there someone to chat with b4 buying program ?

This is the truth. Not the low carb high fat. It seems crazy. Those who favor this method i think are meat and fat lovers. Imagine God creating meat first and commanding Adam to be eating animals freely. Plants and fruits were be to eaten as food in the garden of Eden.

very religious opinion. Who knows the true story of creation and evolution? Plants want to survive just like us and be eaten is not very good as a strategy and that's why they also contain poisons... but everything is a question of some equilibrium I guess...

A mostly predominantly plant based diet helps as well. There’s many ways to lower blood sugar but the focus should also be on reversing insulin resistance. 🙂

@@CharmaineDominguez Tell this to Dr Bernstein as he is 90 years old has been keto eating cheese, eggs, various meats, fish since his 40s. While he is is Type 1 he recommends this diet to Type 2s as well. Even Halle Berry who is Type 2 has been on a meat eating keto diet since her 20's and she looks great for her age. Also she doesn't take any medication which she attributes to her keto diet.
