3:15. "move to a place where there are no sharks" In this film that wouldn't have mattered, the shark would have piloted a helicopter to the middle of the Serengeti plains just to get it's revenge.

@FanboyFlicks

Another fun fact: In 1996, toilets injured 43,000 American whereas sharks injured only 13. I mean, what the hell was going on with our toilets in 1996? Injured by something you basically just have to sit on. That's like hearing about someone being killed by a couch.

Jaws 5 : World War Shark - now it's really really personal The last survivors of the Brody family now flees to the dryest place in the world to avoid any more shark attacks : the Atacama desert. Moreover, they enjoy protection from the US army. However, sharks learned to swim in the sand and have now raised an army of sharks to exterminate the Brody family.

The actress who played Mike's daughter (Judith Barsi) was also the voice for Ducky in The Land Before Time and Anne-Marie in All Dogs Go To Heaven. Tragically a year after filming Jaws: The Revenge she and her mother were murdered by abusive father who then committed suicide. The actor who played Mike in this movie was one of her pallbearers.

Australia also has the blue ringed octopus one of the most venomous marine animals and the Platypus the only venomous mammal. At 5:00 I think he's actually trying to run away from the movie. I think you should include more clips from the movie, I mean including the audio. Like at the end when you mention Jake's wisecracks, or the shark's roar. Not a problem for me with this particular movie because I watched it a ton of times as a kid (I loved Jaws and sharks in general) so I am very familiar with all of the great dialogue and sound effects. But yeah, that would be good for the viewers who haven't seen the film but want a taste of how ridiculous it actually is.

Michael Caine's thoughts on this film are a thing of beauty. Witness this poetry for yourselves..."I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific." For me, the one shark movie to completely traumatize me was Deep Blue Sea. I still get anxiety whenever I think about that scene where Stellan Skarsgard gets his arm ripped off by the shark and has to be airlifted to a hospital (they're on some sort of isolated research facility in the ocean, or something, I can't remember, I haven't seen it since 2000). After he's securely strapped to a gurney, he accidentally falls overboard into the ocean. Several floors down below the surface, the rest of the characters witness the shark throw Stellan Skarsgard violently into the huge viewing window. Still makes me shudder to this day. Your arms and legs completely immobilized while you're drowning AND being attacked by a shark? Even more terrifying.

This series is really entertaining, and I really like your commentary. Nice to see a fellow Canadian on yt. Just one bit of bad news, there have been 10 shark incidents in Canadian history. Whites are coming up here more and more often, idk, probably global warming or something. They can easily tolerate our cold waters because they self regulate their blood temperature. But yeah, between 1874-2012, 8 on the east coast and 2 on the west. 2 were provoked by the person trying to spear the shark or had bait out. 3 were boating incidents, and 1 ship disaster. 2 diving, 1 knocked overboard. The most recent was surfing in BC. Only 2 people died though. Sharks almost always let go immediately and leave people alone after the first bite, once they hit bone, they aren't interested anymore. Sharks are really smart and do almost instant cost/benefit analyses when hunting, and we're fighters with next to zero nutritional value for them, so they generally decide to conserve energy and take off to find a seal that will be full of blubber and won't punch and kick them. Jaws really twisted what sharks are like, I mean, people free dive with great whites and hand feed other species. I think it's the idea of being eaten while alive and drowning that really freaks us out, but sharks are super curious animals that don't have fingers to poke stuff like we do, so they investigate stuff with their mouths. Which really creates a problem because unlike other sharks, we don't deal with being bitten very well. We tend to bleed out pretty fast in water. Great review though. Even as a kid watching this movie, I was like.. The Bahamas?! Come to Ontario dude. The biggest fish we have are muskies, and they might take off a toe if you're super unlucky, maybe a massive pike can do you some damage. No whites though!

I guess that if you start reading the script you think about a classic revenge movie... Bad guy want to avenge his friends that have been killed by this awful family, so you might think that in the end the bad guy is in reality the good guy. But then you realize that the bad guy is a shark. o___o

This was so hilarious! Loved your review style, man! I will definitely need to watch some more of your Bad Movie reviews. And..you are not crazy about being in your parents' pool and wondering if a shark will get you. I got scarred for life when the original Jaws came out too. :P Now we just need a shark to eat Justin Bieber.

+Peanut Cinema They screwed up from the start by introducing a large group of interchangeable kids. They were nothing but raw meat for the shark. The first Jaws had three pretty good characters that were well developed and interesting.

Two times you can see it's a robot which were easily visible: When the shark chases the man into the wreck, you can see the track that the shark moves along. And, when it stands out of the water at Mario Van Peebles....you can see inside of its mouth and see the gears and jaw mechanics. :D

I know of one recorded incident of a fatal shark attack in Canada. A great white shark attack which fatally wounded a man in Halifax, Nova Scotia in August 1891. There have also been two recorded incidents of non fatal shark attacks in Canada, one in 1925 and the other in 2000.

I was born in Canada and MOVED to Australia. That was 43 years ago and I haven't been bitten by nuthin'. It's either just gum trees, beaches, or office buildings down here. All of it fringing a massive paddock of a desert. I mean, it's nice if you can forgive the lame Halloweens and picnic-style Christmases. But those sharks make rare cameo appearances at best.

I once went on a snorkeling trip on a ferry. They took us to where they crashed that plane and we got to swim around it. When the guide was talking about the history of the plane, the first thing someone said was "Wait, there was a Jaws 4?"

I'd like to think that I'm as Australian as a surfer with one leg, but I've never had serious issues with Aussie critters! I've encountered Dugites, Tiger Snakes, jellyfish and Wedgetails, plus some little sharks, but nothing bit me. The big bitey things mostly live in Northern Oz, so just keep south and stay on land! :D

As usual you made me laugh. As bad as this is i personally prefer it to Jaws 3, and think Cruel Jaws is better than either of them, despite... Everything! There is another version of the end which is the we get.in England where the roaring shark just blows up rather than being rammed with the boat.

I dunno... I agree with you about those great Canadians that country has given us, Mark (you left out Lorne Greene and William Shatner, though. Heh.), but the "Beebs" is a whole lotta awful. I think it will take some cash to settle on that one. ;-) And thank you, as always, for digging through the trash to give us gold! When I saw this in the theater, Jake dies. Years later when I rented it from BlockBuster, there is an extra scene where they save Jake right at the end (as seen in the video). I thought WFT. I did some research and turns out that there was such an outcry for jake from the test audience that they filmed the new scene after the movie had left theaters and put it in the DVD release.
