My intp husband hated working for someone else, used to be obese, played video games, drank all day in his early twenties until he became shadow focused and now is a bodybuilder, runs multiple successful businesses, and became very systematic in his mid thirties. @@TokyoTaisu he used to be a powerlifter but he got an injury which prevents him from lifting heavy like he used to. So he lost more weight and focuses on body building now.

I'm more into powerlifting but I love hearing these success stories about intp guys that are both successful in business and health . It often does take longer for an INTP to figure themselves out which is a shame since many INTPs lose their whole 20s but life is ultimately a marathon not a sprint.

This describes one of my regional bosses, he micromanages EVERYONE, monitoring through video and doing drive-byes on sight and watching from a distance. I have been there 3 years at the end of this month, I have made sure I do everything in my job description so he won't have any excuses. This video describes many of the things that he does, which is overbearing.

When I was young I wanted to be entrepreneur. Circumstances defeated me, I failed in life. I spend years in Si-Ti loop ruminating how to fix things in my past and go back on the way I left. But the universe went ahead leaving me far behind. There is nothing I could keep from the past. I have no more goals in life.

I am in my ENTJ shadow a lot & have been. That’s why people manager roles have eluded me until recently. It is very hard to trust even if everything is put on a plate. Especially if the job to do involves lots of creativity & innovation, not just operational tasks. You have to accept in advance the possibility of error and failure done by others, while it is very difficult to imagine that for oneself. People are not triple systematic and rush into things without the super knowledge and intuition in the background and that can much lead to disaster. I’m also 8w7 so I like to challenge myself and my team, something not always taken optimistically 😅

why does extroverted sensing trickster have anything to do with being "unaware of others' capabilities"? shouldn't Si child and Te be very aware? isn't Se more about 'self' awareness of what your body's doing (giving experiences)

Si is self-awareness, it is the consciousness of body sensations and one’s own past. Se is consciousness of other peoples past, experiences, and what they’re doing. Te is about other peoples thoughts, rationale aka data, information, stats. Se trickster makes INTPs unaware of other people’s performances, actions, or capabilities that are not impacting their Si child through cognitive orbit.

@@JR-ow8xg My experience with Se trickster is that my sight becomes blurred when I think too hard and what I think/imagine gets superposed over my sight, beside that I can very well notice others' performances and capabilities, since I do have eyes.

@@rpoutine3271 When I said “unaware of other people’s performances, actions or capabilities” is not literally as if they were blind. What I am saying is that INTPs can’t see past their own experience at a given moment which makes them oblivious of what other people is doing. As I said, Si child needs to be “hit” multiple times from a single source of action to notice it, basically they need to experience a person’s performance over and over to actually trust it. It’s like meeting a new person, an Se user will automatically search the past to understand the now of that person. An Si users will need to experience that person to predict how will they act in the future.

@@JR-ow8xg My experience as an INTP is different from what you describe, Ti can do what you just said about Se. I just need data to apply frameworks onto in order to predict stuff. Si just happens to provide tons of data in form of past experience with different kind of people. Credentials just are not enough data, there are plenty of imbeciles with degrees. To predict is one of Ti's strenghts.

INTP'S don't have Te in their function stack they have Ti no brainer and inconsistent info INTP'S are not really Entrepreneurs they are the Architects of ideas and even study to be an Architect I think that is consistent with their types ENTJ'S and ENTP'S are more entrepreneurs I don't think your an ENTP my reasons are that you don't speak in metaphors, analogies and figurative language also ENTP's are witty and their sense of humor is eccentric but I think definitively that your are either an ESTJ or ENTJ they are all about efficiency and getting things done ENTP'S don't care about that stuff they do things on their own terms they are more open ended and do not care about structures.

The analysis is so futile, try again with system based approach using any framework you prefer. You can't just explaining with single use of cognitive function as a point of analysis.

@@honor9lite1337 no I didn't, but alot of mbti analysist and professional in mbti already had figure him, if you compare the way someone think and deepn follow and watch him, you will see that Ni-Te and no way is Ti-Ne, im an intp my system of learning and analysing some type or function is to see the 2 dom function, as that reaslt I would say yes he is Ni-Te and considered to be visionary not Innovator.

Life circumstances could have pushed him into his shadow side at an early age. How do you factor development and nurture into your analysis?
