Mullin , like Bird and Reggie Miller, wasn't really fast but he could run all day and not get tired. That with his feel for the game and fundamentals allowed him to play on a level very few could.

The player I'd compare Chris Mullin to the most would be John Havlicek. They were both excellent shooters, could really move without the basketball, had high basketball IQs, and they both had excellent stamina. Havlicek was faster than Mullin, had even better stamina, and was a better on ball defender. On the other hand, Mullin was a better ball handler (the dribbling rules were way more strict in Havlicek's day), and was probably a better passer. Havlicek was one of the greatest clutch players in history tho and had 2 more chips than MJ, a total of 8 rings. In any case, it was so appropriate that Mullin wore #17 in honor of the great John Havlicek. 💪🔥

I loved Mullin growing up in the 1990s. He’s been a secret weapon of mine for years in NBA2k. Those Miller era Pacers team started to have more success once Mullin joined the fold. They gave the 1998 Bulls a battle in the ECF and then won the ECF in 2000.

Always watch out for the slow left handed white guy, he uses your athleticism against you. I played at Cal St. Hayward when Mullin (Gym Rat) was playing for the Warriors (I was at 6'1" 58% 3's my Freshman year) and he used to go and eat and drink almost every home game at the Fishery. He would get hammered and give me advice and we'd talk the game. He told me it was a sin I wasn't 6'6" or better. Great people with a great basketball mind.

Both of these guys are my idol. The reason why Pip is having a hard time with Chris is because Chris is fundamentally sound, very basic and grindy. The kind of players Pip is always having a hard time. But players who tries to be fancy and show off, will die in front of Pip. Like majority of forwards nowadays.

Chris Mullin was always a quiet type & very humble player & he was actually one of the best & it is good to see him finally get some recognition; that being said Scottie Pippen if anyone could actually have given him a difficult time that is great proof because Scottie was one of the best in the NBA at that time barnone hands down so that is a huge compliment to Chris Mullin that he could play at that level.

I really like the block from behind! Seems like the way to play a guy that can make scoring moves from everywhere. And Mullins on offense had the ability to score from everywhere. And I like to see players understand how to use the glass also. Seen alot of pros not have a clue where the ball needs to hit the backboard and how to put the spin. This was great

I think the one game of highlights was for example. Mullin put up some pretty good numbdrs against Chicago. Head to head games 1988-89 Mullin drops 29 (the other game against Chicago Pippen wasn't a starter) 1989-90 Mullin drops 16 and 21 1990-91 Mullin drops 11 and 30 1991-92 Mullin drops 18 and 38 1992-93 Mullin puts up 21 and 32 that's averaging over 27ppg vs Chicago
