Inoue is literally an anime character if they were real. He used a technique learned from another fight mid fight with another guy like some kind of martial arts technique, and has a finishing power move that he whips out that only attacks the liver. That man is a champion

The disrespect for Doniare is wild. He was 36 years old with a 42-6 28ko's record when they fought the first time. He has fought a good number of undefeated beasts and won. Even after this fight he went on the beat undefeated Oubaali. Inoue is just a different kind of beast. His nickname is very well earned.

And these dudes keep on downplaying Inoue's resume, saying his best win was an "old Donaire". In reality, he was a hall of famer and still knocking out young champions. If it weren't for him, Inoue wouldn't have been tested the way he was and he wouldn't the fighter he is today.

Donaire was past his prime at 36 and suffered multiple loses at that age. So, they had a point. If he fought Donaire 3-4 years earlier he would have lost. Donaire wasn't as fast anymore and had lost a step or two. If you watch any of his fights at a younger age you could tell how slow he was.

Amazing video. The ability to pull deep from within and overcome and adapt is something that I think separates good fighters from great fighters. Naoya Inoue is a legend in the making, already having accomplished enough to be a hall of fame boxer, he continues to pursue excellence. I greatly admire his efforts and accomplishments in boxing, because he is a man about his business. No hooting and hollering buildup to his fights, he just shows up after having put in the work during training camp ready to fight.

First off, I gotta commend you for this video. Absolutely fantastic work you've done here! I'm definitely subscribing to the channel. Inoue is a beast and by far my favorite fighter in the sport. Inoue found something in himself against Donaire that most fighters don't know they have until it comes time to do or die. Inoue and his team admit that they went into that match overconfident and that almost cost Inoue everything. Since then, they've never taken an opponent lightly and Inoue's game improved a metric ton. Obvious credit must go to Donaire and his experience for figuring out all of Inoue's weaknesses at the time and then being able to capitalize on them so well. I see a lot of people say that a Prime Donaire would have beaten Inoue, but I disagree. Donaire never looked better than he did in that first fight with Inoue, and I attribute that to his losses teaching him so much about ring craft. A younger and less experienced Donaire would have gotten KO'd before the 9th imo. Inoue definitely should have had the KO in round 11 but oh well, still a fan of the fight and I re-watch it from time to time. Can't wait for Inoue's fight against Tapales in December!!

I had surgery in my left eye because the left eye socket completely shattered. now the left eyeball is smaller than the right one since the surgeon had to remove the surrounding tissues of the left eyeball due to many broken pieces of the bone stuck in them and inserted an artificial bone plate in the socket. I don't know if it was that bad so I waited for about a week until I got a CAT scan. I bled for about a day or two from the left. I didn't really feel the pain that much during the bout and even after. I had double vision though. So the left eye opens less wide and I have to live with it. In the recent years ACL, MCL, and LCL in the left tore while the right Achilles tore as well. Any contact sport is dangerous and would leave permanent damages to your body. So be careful.

Great stuff! one thing though is he upped his pace and threw significantly more power punches a lot earlier than he normally does. thus risking gassing out later if he didn't get the job done. but he knew he had to bc of the eye. we're judging this based on it going right. but had he not gotten him out of there, he was in the same trouble as the likes of Kell. Donaire is the only man to make him face decision after all. Inoue averaged 4 landed body shots/round last fight. he landed 2 in this entire fight haha he was head hunting. i think it's important to note that. bc this was incredibly risky for him. good on him making it work. but it's an exercise in will knowing there might be some trouble with the doctor stoppage and how fighters adapt to this info. I actually find this one of the more interesting aspects of fights.
