So the issue was some substance caused the right D-Pad button stick down?

From what I can gather, it seems like battery corrosion leaked all over the PCB... either that or someone spilled Coca Cola on the controller. Either way a short circuit made the right direction on the d-pad constantly engaged. So, yes.

Why Microsoft controllers are so damn complicated?

Maybe they are complicated, but they are almost indestructible (360 and above). Throw that pad against a wall. Hole in the wall and controller is still working fine. The only one time I've destroyed Xbox One Pad was when I smashed the analog with my fist. Even board broke.

its a damn controller, there needs to be wires for buttons and triggers, they are like veins in a human body, act like the motherboard is a heart and human brain, without it the controller will be like a dead body
