Personally, I don't it's the fart or the fart fetish that makes this uncomfortable. This is an *adult* fairy (gruff voice, has a job, etc.) that we see hiding around a kindergarten and seeking biological satisfaction from *children*. That's what crosses the line for me. As for how this got through the pipeline? Saber described it himself. This is a spinoff of a long-running parody, and it is nearly literally the Simpsons' "Watchmen Babies" gag stretched into several actual episodes. I highly doubt that passion and attentiveness were a major part of the creation process.

Dexter's Laboratory had a flatulence episode, called "Critical Gas" or something like that, which was actually funny. The plot was Dexter thought he was going to explode like a balloon after eating a giant burrito. The plot involved a bad case of gas, but it wasn't so much about gas. I don't like flatulence jokes, but a couple parts of that episode made me laugh.

Exactly, because in Dexters Lab it was funny that this super genius was having a crisis facing and preparing for his impending death, when in the end he just needed to fart. I know as a kid, and even now, I can be in excruciating pain thinking my appendix burst or something, but it’s just that chipotle i had the day before. And in South park, the farts were a metaphor but so crude and immature it worked well to poke fun at smug people for how immature and ludicrous they can be.

It'd be weird to criticize what's obviously for kids but this episode felt perverted. I know kids won't always understand it that way but if it made me uncomfortable, idk how kids wouldn't either? They'll still understand the concept is just creepy even if they don't get what fetishes are. It makes me think of weird jokes or cartoon episodes that crossed the line and made me squeamish as a kid. Like characters who have obsessive crushes and cross the line in terms of boundaries and sometimes even consent. He has to smell them in order to stay active and to prevent a big fart storm from happening (I kind of forgot what he called it). That, and I know this sounds gross but considering children are more easily entertained by this kind of humour, it's not unreasonable for them to think about where does it go. They normally look transparent but with a brown or green palette, and yet the sky never turns any less blue. Secondly, the big fart clouds we see outside make it very clear that they're also from teenagers and adults. Lastly, never at any point do we hear the fairy say "I smell them from kids all around the world". If he ever said anything like that, then I would genuinely understand why this episode would be problematic for all the people out there with a functioning brain and above average moral compass. But no, we never here him say anything like that, and Leshawna hates farts, giving a kids who don't like them someone they can relate to. I'll say this again. I personally dislike this episode and consider it to be the lowest point of an otherwise really enjoyable cartoon. I very rarely find fart humour funny, there's not much creativity in the execution, and it is a challenge to look at gas for eleven minutes, when it's usually something that's best left for a fraction of the time frame. That said however, it's harmless. It comes close to being questionable in many areas, but what saves it in the end is context. It's a real shame all of you prefer to just ignore said context and make a massive deal out of something that isn't there.

Actually, they DID do that. But only once. When we first meet the fairy, he says, "Did you say Tooth Fairy, or TOOT Fairy?" But after that, he's only ever called the Fart Fairy.

Nah... the writers were the problem here, I'm a kid and I also watch some cartoons and I literally HATE these kind of humour and I just- bruh its disgusting. There some peeps who find the episode funny but majority of the kids has the same opinion as mine.
