Excellent vid ! I'm new to bikes that use Presta valves, so (just as you touched on) I didn't realize why my tire had gone "flat" until I saw your video; then I put it together that the screw holding the valve/gasket in place must have jiggled loose during my first 760 miles with the new bike (I even ended up buying new innertubes before I came upon your great content). I also didn't realize, until I saw this, why my pump wouldn't inflate the tire properly (wasn't the pump / it was me !) Thanks much ! Now I'm ready for anything 8-)

Thanks for explaining this. I've always just put a schrader valve adapters on mine as I could not figure out how they work. My wife's bike, I just drilled out the holes in the rim and put schrader valve tubes in.

The trick, that I was not aware of and which I learned from another video is the little tap @1:00 min. Now, I've got a Bontrager Charger Floor Pump, and it has only ONE nozzle, not two, like the one you are using. But the symbols on the nozzle show both, the Schrader valve AND the Presta valve. So I assume I can use the same nozzle for either valve type, no????????

Yes, some pumps have a more universal connector. I haven't had the best luck with them.

This is the dumbest shit ever so what happens when you're out and need to put air in your tire lol. None of the world has these valves or you have carry an adapter. 😊

Ugh... I know exactly what you're saying. Lots of folks get a handful of the adapters and then screw one onto the valve and leave it there.
