I am somebody who feared change. To an extend that when it was inevitable to change I got depressed! I was looking for certainty and fearing failure. Then I read Who moved my cheese! It changed every thing. After I made that decision there was uncertainty and i did fail. But it all worked out in the end. I did get what I cherished. And am happy that I made that decision.15 years later I am making yet another big change to my career! This time it is voluntary and not inevitable. I re-read who moved my cheese and your video made me confident again.

This video just touched my heart. And without knowing i actually ended up following exact same 3 steps that you mentioned. Last year i got fired from an IT QA software enginner position after which i sat at home developing my software development skills in to Web and App development area of expertise just because my heart is totally in to it and i ever wanted to persue this skills from long time but never got chance and time to develop these skills. Now after mastering this skill for 1.5 year i am starting my own online development teaching platform and may start applying for job next year. But i feel more confident and worthy of my decision and i feel getting fired was the best thing that cound have happened in my life. I have been watching your channel from recent 3 months and i cant tell you how much valuable your content is to me for dealing day to day challanges at work being a software enginner. Please do let me know if you have some online workshops running which we can attend as i am from India. I think one shd weigh all the pros & cons if we hv to make a choice between 2 or more options. And so many decisions cannot be reversed.smtimes we r taking a risk. All said & done,i wd prefer to pray and discuss the advantages & disadvantages of taking a decision wd the experts who know their job & then take a calculsted risk.& u know wat, smtimes we do not hv a choice.Smtimes sm things hv to be done just cz the other choice is not safe enough in any/various ways. She speaks so fluently & is very impressive both looks wise and regarding her ability of being a good orator. But Shade, pls speak at a lill slower pace. I wish all of us women were like her,.....good looking & impressive regarding speaking skills & understanding life & ppl in a logical manner.💜

One more question that I would suggest to add here (or to add under any of your questions as a sub-question) is: "Is my decision driven by others or forced by someone?" This question is relatable in sense of relations, or also in job. Some negative people are so manipulative and scrupulous that they convince us its what we want to do, while actually its been forced or say, emotionally blackmailed (in relationship). Yet it can be also forced upon with help of fear of any person or any future-event. The trick is to make decision-maker think all the time its his or her decision without him or her knowing they have been tactfully influenced, manipulated and lastly, made believe by someone... The manipulator could be a friend, a lover, a family-person, a collegue, a senior or boss, etc. Add this question if you feel this question must be included and is worth asking to one's self. I question this to myself often. When i noticed I found that in my surroundings, many decisions are taken by people under someone's influence/emotional blackmail or out of someone's fear.

Love this. I'm approaching a really difficult decision right now regarding whether or not I want to stay in the US after I graduate college or go back to my home country. It's tough because in my field, there is a lot more opportunity for me in the US, but I miss my family and friends, and being away from them has been difficult for my anxiety. The problem is that I'm worried that if I go home, I might not be able to get a work visa to come back in the future. Moving to the US has been a dream of mine for a long time, but college has sort of changed my perspective on that. I don't know if I want to stay here anymore, and I have a deep desire to go home and be with family and pursue my career in my home country. I'm just afraid that I won't do well, or that I'll end up a "failure," or that I'm somehow giving up on a lifelong dream.

Sometime bad decisions are not just switching jobs, it could be quitting a good job that dramatically effects you life going forward. Your finances and status are never the same again in the most negative of ways. That was 18 years ago for me and I relive it every day, even now at 60 years old.
