Great list. 🙌🏼 Extremely relatable and things not a lot of people talk about. I totally identified with first 3 points, seeking more information, not taking action, and feeling guilty when I don’t take action. Solutions are exercise, meditation and spending time in nature.

Shadé this was Absolutely amazing and The one I resonated the most was Info Mania because I love learning and evolving but I do take action and implement! The point when you said when we feel guilty when not doing anything that hit my soul to the core. I been really trying to just be and not feel guilty for not creating not doing and just being! This is definitely one of the most impactful videos I’ve watched in a truly long time so I am committed to taking one action and spending time on that one action until I move on to the next! I Love You My Amazing Teacher you’re awesome! Lots of Divine Love and Light from The SuperHero Of Love! 💖💎

Wow! I just watched this video, and I felt so identified with no only one of this habits but with all of them. Lately I’ve been experiencing a lot of the feeling of being busy, tired and frustrated because I do a lot but I do nothing and I don’t see any progress in any of my projects, watching this video just opened my eyes. Thank you! I hope I can correct these bad habits soon.

Except for achievement addiction (Which I believe got over quite a while ago) I felt almost all of these as relatable. And I've been trying to get rid of them, by reducing screen time on my phone. I believe it's helping me greatly. Also, I believe starting to work one by one will hopefully help me a ton!

Wow! I felt creeped out, as if you observed my thoughts. These habits are too relatable, and they are holding me back. Here is the summary for viewers: 5 Habits Keeping you STUCK: 1. 0:33 Infomania due to FOMO. Can't focus on tasks. Busy all the time, yet no progress. 2. 1:39 Knowing-doing trap. 3. 2:45 Achievement addict. Productivity guilt. Always short of time. Self criticism. Burnout. 4. 3:44 Multitask. Keep switching tasks to avoid the pain of boredom. Linked to FOMO. 5. 4:37 Attachment to phone. 5 Ways to Get UNSTUCK 1. 6:23 Stop & resist. Just for 5 min initially. 2. 6:50 To deal with Knowing-doing trap, go to the last video/podcast/article/book you consumed and identify just one thing you will put into practice. 3. 7:15 For achievement addiction, carve out some mindful leisure time. Stop comparing career achievements with others. 4. 7:45 For Multitaskers, recondition yourself to be comfortable being alone with yourself and your thoughts. When agitated or bored while doing something, resist the urge to switch. Note down what you are experiencing. 5. 9:00 Put away the phone out of sight. Here I did point 2. Thanks a ton Shade!

I'm an infomaniac. I feel like I constantly have to consume information and I don't know enough to take action. I multitask between different projects. I then feel guilty because I don't feel like I have enough time to do things or to do what I had in mind. Thanks to your videos and program. I'm definitely an infomaniac, and the knowing-and-doing trap resonates with me as well. Watching this video proves it. At least most times I take notes and attempt to do whatever the video or article says I should do, but inconsistent... and I tend to beat myself up way too much. I tried to learn self discipline, failed. Without that skill my life is literally stagnant, I could stay in my the entire day without doing anything, on youtube, daydreaming, later talking with friends. One thing at least I don't end up depressed. The latest technique I want to implement is to surround myself with people that are self disciplined(you are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with).

Multi-tasking is the one that I can pick up from the list. I have this bad habit that I literally plan to do multiple tasks in one day and when I can't handle them it makes me feel nervous and my whole day is not going well. So I want to commit to myself to not do it again cause I know that this is making my day worst why should I continue doing it regularly every day.

Can’t tell you how much of a godsend this video is. Totally stuck due to Knowing Doing Gap. Therefore the to-do list keeps getting endlessly longer, causing more frustration if they can’t be achieved all in one go..Trying to be a super achiever is only causing to be super busy all the time but not productive. The important things are still staring at me from the to-do list.

Hi Shadé. I recently came across another video from you (about the "5 deceivers" of the mind) and started to enjoy your posts. The first reason you presented really hit me. It is interesting that I always had this need for knowledge and I'm also feeling stagnated. It was just a little bit confusing to me. One good example in my daily work is when I attend some meetings in English (you may have already noticed I'm not a native speaker... lol). Someone uses a different word or an expression and I always take note and search for it later. It normally doesn't affect my understanding during the discussion, but I do want to learn it. It looks like it improves my English with time, and apparently it is benefitial for me, but now I'm uncertain if this is really affecting my focus and my progression, as you exposed in your speech. Can you articulate a lit bit more about this? I'm on a deep search for the reasons I'm feeling stagnated and this was really ground breaking for me. Thanks!

I just say, because I have everything you are looking for as I explained during my interview. Of course there are always areas of knowledge or previous experience where one may lack. The ability to self learn, foreseeing risk, minimizing, and mitigation of risks is something I am good at.

Relatable 💯 when life is not what you desire even when you have given your 100% & you are denied your life, it causes painful trauma .. getting into media or daydreaming really helps defocus from the reality and feel a little happy.

Even though all that you said in this video sound obvious, it all happens so subconsciously we often tend to see through these behaviors. I’ve been trying to practice most of what you recommend but I’m noticing I’m not keeping up with the social norms. So be it. I’ll fall behind the societal pace of “progress” but im convinced im ok with that. Thanks for these thought provoking/reinforcing videos.

Thanks for making this video Ms. Shade Zahrai. My name is Sumit and I'm from Delhi, India. I'm stuck inside my head for so many years. Just because of this I completely failed and still failing in every area of my life. I didn't know what was going on with me. Step by step series of events happened. It destroyed me in so many ways and also helped me to find the reasons behind all this as well. I found out that I have #ADULT #ADHD and I kind of a victim of my own mind. I found it a little late when so much worst already happened. Now, if I talk about this video then I can easily say that you perfectly hit on bull's eye like a hammer hit on the nail. Point no.1, 2, 4 and a little bit 5 is also one of the reasons why I am stuck in my life for so many years. I study and try to focus every day. My education, my knowledge or my skills not helping me in any way. I'm stuck and have no growth, no progress in life. My situation is very-very-very different because it's not just these above-mentioned points but also so much more which affected me mentally for a long time in the past and present too. Also, my home environment is as well. I watched some of your videos and all are great. But, I feel I need an expert to help me to get out of this tricky situation in life. I really want to get out of this black hole kind of situation. Please help? Thanks and have a nice day:)

No. 4 is really interesting, haven't heard that before. Usually, it's about the interrupting task being a dopamine source (looking at your phone), rather than the fact of switching to another task being that.

Wow...you addressed a big problem that i have been going through for a while. I think, I have a portion of all the 5 that makes me stuck all the time...i see others climbing up the career ladders, others very positive and doing tasks then and there, where I am continuously backlogged and always doing things halfway in the last minute. I know this is not enough but i don't have the time. Sometimes i have the time but im mentally stuck. I think i want to keep my phone away while waking up, sleeping and at work. I also wanted to stop multitasking and atleast focus on 1 task for 15minutes, and do not open new tabs and implement what you already know.
