death wobble happens when suspension components get loose. It can happen to any jeep lifted or not, but I think its more common on lifted ones because most lift kits are newer then the cars they are on and they havnt had the chance for the bolts to rust themselves tight lol but in all seriousness it either happens when bolts get loose, or the holes they fit in get opened up after long years of abuse or such.

I had serious death wobble on my xj but it had 331K on it when I replaced the entire front end. Added a 3.5 lift to it afterward and its been good. Lift kit did expose my u joint wear and when i replaced them they were totally worn out. Thinking of the yoke eliminator as the vibration is annoying.

Better insulation. I’ve never actually messed with insulation but I’ve seen people post about it in the Facebook groups that insulation helps keep noise out

I just lifted my XJ 4.5 rusty advance kit. And cavfab steering ride good on the fwy but I totally get what you are saying about the Jeep floating around. I currently don’t have a steering stabilizer and when I hit a bump at 45mph or so I want to get death wobble I’m hoping the one I order will fix the issue
@KCars3 жыл бұрын
Hmm that’s weird the kit didn’t come with the stabilizer?
@ciscog63293 жыл бұрын
@@KCars yeah man it’s so sketchy but it only does it at low speeds. You would think a kit that cost as much as it did would have all the necessary hardware but it has no spot to mount a steering stabilizer. I ordered an aftermarket clamp and a Fox 2.0 steer shock I’m hoping that’s what it needs 🤞

Somebody else commented and said the adjustable track bar should fix that. I notice it mainly when I need to brake heavily then it sort of turns towards one side and I need to correct it quite a bit.

Definitely a firmer ride for a while. After a few months and some heavy loads, it settled out or maybe i just got used to it. Definitely an improvement over my worn out suspension. Lifted it about 6 in. Because it was so worn. Everything that breaks is an opportunity for an upgrade
